What changes visually

Skies drift from blue through violet to rose between dawn and midnight. Fog is tuned per biome, with 16 profiles spread across all 89 biomes.

  • Soft volumetric god rays and soft shadows
  • Falling cherry blossom petals
  • Water caustics and gentle waves
  • Custom cloud and End sky textures
  • Dreamy Nether and End atmospherics
  • 101 coloured light sources
  • Full PBR textures in a default set and a 32x set, with a custom sun and moon at 32x

The pack is compatible with other packs, so it can be layered with other resource packs.

How to install Refined Deferred

  1. 1.Get the Refined Deferred.mcpack file from the CurseForge page.
  2. 2.Open it to import it into Bedrock.
  3. 3.Enable Refined Deferred under Resource Packs in your world's settings.
  4. 4.Turn on Vibrant Visuals.

The general steps are in the guide to installing add-ons on Bedrock. If the pack does not show up or load, this fix guide covers the usual causes.

Trade-offs

The look is deliberately stylised. Pink haze and rose skies set a mood rather than a vanilla-faithful tint, so it suits players who want atmosphere over accuracy. It is Bedrock only, and Java cannot load it.

Questions about Refined Deferred.

4 questions

How do I install Refined Deferred?

Get the .mcpack file from the CurseForge page and open it so Bedrock imports it. Then enable Refined Deferred under Resource Packs in your world's settings and turn on Vibrant Visuals. Resource packs are switched on per world, so repeat the step for each world you want it in.

Does Refined Deferred work on Java?

No. It is a Bedrock pack distributed as an .mcpack file, and Java cannot load that format. On Bedrock it is made to work on iOS, Android, Xbox, PlayStation and Windows, so players on those platforms can use it.

Do I need Vibrant Visuals for Refined Deferred?

Yes. Refined Deferred is made for Vibrant Visuals, and the last install step is turning Vibrant Visuals on after you import the .mcpack file and enable the pack under resource packs. It works on iOS, Android, Xbox, PlayStation and Windows, and the creator also suggests setting your brightness as shown on the CurseForge page.

Does Refined Deferred include PBR textures?

Yes. Refined Deferred ships full PBR textures for Bedrock in a default set and a 32x set. The 32x set also adds a custom sun and moon. Beyond textures, the pack also includes soft shadows, water caustics and 101 coloured light sources.
