What RG Shader works with.

PlatformBedrock Edition
Minecraft versions1.21, 26.3, 26.10, 26.11, 26.12, 26.13, 26.20, 26.30, 26.40, 26.50

RG Shader is a realistic resource pack that brings shader-style visuals to Bedrock through textures alone, with no patch required. If you want an RG shader for Bedrock that stays Renderdragon compatible, this is RisabGamerz's pack, aimed at low to mid-end devices. It is Bedrock only and loads like any other resource pack.

Supported versions

  • Minecraft 1.21 to 26.50.

What changes visually

Grass and leaves sway to match real foliage, and the fog creates a light scatter effect. The pack is listed under the x16, x32 and x64 tags on CurseForge. It targets players who cannot run vibrant visuals and do not use a patch.

  • Lifelike lighting and shadows
  • Smooth waving grass, leaves and trees
  • Clear, reflective water
  • Skies with clouds and sunrise and sunset cycles
  • Atmospheric fog, bloom and godrays
  • Rain effects

How to install RG Shader

  1. 1.Get the .mcpack file from the CurseForge page.
  2. 2.Open it with Minecraft so it imports on its own.
  3. 3.Open your world's settings and go to Resource Packs.
  4. 4.Activate RG Shader, then load the world.

New to importing packs? The guide on installing add-ons on Bedrock covers the steps, and fixing add-ons that will not work helps if the pack does not show up.

Known limitations

This is a texture-based pack, so it works within what a resource pack can change. Java cannot load it. The pack is switched on per world, so activate it in each world where you want it.

Questions about RG Shader.

4 questions

Is RG Shader available for Java?

No. RG Shader is a Bedrock pack from CurseForge's Bedrock section, and Java cannot load Bedrock resource packs. Players on Java need a pack made in that format. On Bedrock, the file imports straight into Minecraft and is switched on per world.

Does RG Shader need a patch?

No. The pack is texture-based and is described as a non-patch shader. It is Renderdragon compatible, so you import the .mcpack file, activate it under Resource Packs in your world settings, and it applies.

Will RG Shader run on a low-end phone?

The creator describes it as performance-optimized and compatible with most low to mid-end devices. That is the creator's own claim, so results depend on your hardware. Fog, bloom and waving foliage still add visual work compared with plain textures.

How do I install RG Shader on Bedrock?

Get the .mcpack file from the CurseForge page and open it with Minecraft to import it. Then open your world's settings, choose Resource Packs and activate RG Shader. Load the world to see the new lighting, fog and foliage.
