Smaller Totem is a 16x smaller totem resource pack for Java that shrinks the Totem of Undying while you hold it. SILENT published it on Modrinth, and it is aimed at PvP. It is a player-side pack that needs no other mod or library installed.
Supported versions
- Minecraft 1.13 to 26.3.
What changes visually
The pack targets a single item. Inventory and hotbar icons still look right, so menus stay readable.
- The held totem is smaller than vanilla.
- It looks right in the inventory and on the hotbar.
- Particles and pop animations are untouched.
How to install Smaller Totem
This is a plain resource pack, so there are no companion mods to set up. The steps are the standard ones.
- 1.Download the .zip file from Modrinth.
- 2.Open Options, then Resource Packs, then Open Pack Folder, and drop the file in.
- 3.Move the pack to the Selected side of the Resource Packs screen.
The resource pack install guide covers the same steps with screenshots if the folder is hard to find.
Known limitations
The feature set is narrow by design. You get a smaller totem and nothing more, with no particle or animation changes. SILENT tested it on vanilla only and has not tested it with mods, so combining it with other texture or model mods is your own experiment. It is Java only, with no Bedrock build.

Questions about Smaller Totem.
4 questions
How do I install the Smaller Totem resource pack?
Place the downloaded .zip in your resourcepacks folder, which you can reach from Options, Resource Packs, Open Pack Folder. Then move the pack to the Selected side of the Resource Packs screen. If a pack-format warning appears, the pack can still load.
Why does Smaller Totem show an incompatibility warning?
Smaller Totem spans a very wide range, so the warning can appear. SILENT states that the pack works fine from 1.13 to 26.3 despite the message, so you can apply it anyway.
Does Smaller Totem change totem particles or the pop animation?
No. Particles and animations are left as vanilla, so the pop effect looks exactly as it does without the pack.
Is Smaller Totem available for Bedrock?
No. It is published for Java only, and Bedrock uses a different pack format. Java players load it through the standard resource pack screen.
