Xnova Remastered is a 16x resource pack for Bedrock that rebuilds first-person animations and adds 3D models for held items and tools. It runs on Bedrock only. Java cannot load it.

Supported versions

  • Minecraft 1.21.132 to 26.40. The newest build optionally uses Relic Totems 3d.

What changes visually

  • New and improved first-person animations, with every item modelled for hand use.
  • Customisable hand modes, with a customisable first-person control panel.
  • A 3D skin layer for Steve and Alex appearances.
  • New 3D models for some items and tools.
  • Adjustable opacity and size for held items and blocks.
  • A selectable mode, either custom animations and sounds or default animations.

The 3D tool models draw on two Java packs the creator credits, MB-3D Items Pack and Actually 3D Stuff. Xnova Remastered also works with Action & Stuff and with the offhand feature of the Dynamic Light add-on.

Questions about Xnova Remastered.

4 questions

Is Xnova Remastered available for Java?

No. It is a Bedrock resource pack and Java cannot load it. The 3D tool models it credits come from Java packs, but the Xnova Remastered file itself is a Bedrock pack, and add-ons of this kind are Bedrock only.

How do I install Xnova Remastered?

Open the file from CurseForge with Bedrock so it imports, then switch it on under Resource Packs in your world's settings. Packs are activated per world, so repeat the step for each world where you want the new first-person animations.

What happened to the original Xnova project?

The original project was removed. Xnova Remastered adds new animations, 3D skin layers, configurable hand modes and a smaller, better-optimised pack.

Can I keep the default animations?

Yes. The pack has a selectable mode that lets you choose between custom animations and sounds or the default animations. You can also adjust the opacity and size of held items and blocks.
