MB-3D Items Pack is a vanilla-like 16x 3d items resource pack for Java. It remodels item sprites into full 3D models that still fit the blocky style. mbanders set out to cover every item, which earlier packs and mods did not. It loads on the player's own install only, and dedicated hosts do not support it.

Supported versions

  • Minecraft 1.19 to 26.3.

What changes visually

Flat item sprites become three-dimensional models designed to sit inside the blocky look rather than clash with it. Textures stay at 16x, so the pack reads as vanilla-like. The change is in shape, not resolution. That makes it a fit for players who want depth on items without moving to a high-resolution or realistic style.

How to install MB-3D Items Pack

  1. 1.Grab the .zip from the Modrinth page linked on this listing.
  2. 2.In the game menu, open Options, then Resource Packs, then Open Pack Folder.
  3. 3.Drop the .zip into that folder.
  4. 4.Move the pack to the Selected side of the Resource Packs screen.

If the pack was built for a different release than the one you run, it can still load but shows an incompatibility warning. For a longer walkthrough, see how to install resource packs on Java and Bedrock.

Companion mods and settings

No mods are required. The pack is compatible with the Placeable Items mod. It also works with Vivecraft, through a separate patch included with the pack.

Known limitations

This is a Java pack only, since Bedrock uses a different format. The creator calls it an attempt at matching vanilla style, so 3D shapes are a matter of taste and some players will prefer the flat originals. The pack links no source repository or issue tracker.
