Better Trees is a Bedrock addon from Daniye that rebuilds the trees in your forests with thicker leaves, improved shapes and realistic branches. The look stays close to vanilla, only fuller.
Supported versions
- Minecraft 1.21.111 to 26.10.
What it adds
Oak forests, birch groves and jungles all get redesigned trees, with more variety between biomes. The addon is marked achievement compatible, and the full file is aimed at Survival and Hardcore play.
Two downloads are offered, and the choice matters:
- Better Trees removes vanilla trees and replaces them with the new ones, including custom sapling growth. It also contains the Instant Tree items.
- Instant Trees leaves vanilla trees and saplings alone. It adds Instant Sapling items that spawn a tree with a single tap in Creative mode, which suits builders.
How to install Better Trees
- 1.Download the .mcaddon file and open it with Bedrock so it imports. The install guide for Bedrock add-ons covers each device.
- 2.Create a new world and activate the addon under Behavior Packs and Resource Packs in the world settings.
- 3.Set the world type to Infinite. The addon only works there.
If the pack does not show up or load, the add-ons troubleshooting guide lists the usual causes.
Limits and Java schematics
The trade-off is that the addon only works in Infinite worlds, so Flat worlds are out. Java Edition cannot load the addon, but Daniye publishes a separate tree schematics bundle for manual placement with tools such as WorldEdit and Litematica.

Questions about Better Trees.
4 questions
How do I install Better Trees on Bedrock?
Download the .mcaddon file and open it with Bedrock so it imports. Then create a new world, switch on the addon under Behavior Packs and Resource Packs, and set the world type to Infinite.
Does Better Trees work in an existing world?
The instructions say to create a new world with the addon activated, so that is the route to follow. The addon only works on the Infinite world type, so choose that when you set the world up.
What is the difference between Better Trees and Instant Trees?
Better Trees replaces vanilla trees and saplings with redesigned ones and also includes the Instant Tree items. Instant Trees leaves vanilla trees alone and only adds Instant Sapling items that spawn a tree in Creative mode. Install one of the two, never both.
Which Bedrock versions does Better Trees support?
The newest file covers Bedrock 1.21.111 to 26.10 and requires no extra dependency pack according to its listing. It is Bedrock Edition only, so Java Edition players need the separate schematics bundle instead.
