Custom Skies/Cubemaps is a Bedrock custom skies addon by Mod_MC. It is a texture pack that swaps the vanilla sky for cubemaps made from real 3D HDRI images, and it ships as a .mcpack file. It runs on Bedrock and Pocket play alike.
Supported versions
- Minecraft 1.16 to 26.30.
What it adds
Each cubemap targets a different environment, weather condition or style. The skies are meant to look seamless and sharp, and the pack names snowy weather, stormy weather and a nebula galaxy among them.
- Dynamic Sky is the default. It only adds realistic clouds, so it blends with the day and night cycle.
- Around ten skies in total, from snow and storms to a nebula galaxy.
- Works with Vibrant Visuals.
- Stacks with other texture packs, except packs that also set a custom sky.
How to install Custom Skies/Cubemaps
- 1.Get the .mcpack file from the CurseForge page and open it with Minecraft. It imports on its own.
- 2.Open your world settings and switch the pack on under Resource Packs.
- 3.In Video settings, turn off Render Clouds.
- 4.Load the world.
If the pack does not import or does not show up, the add-on install guide and the troubleshooting page cover the usual causes.
Trade-offs and usage terms
Mod_MC allows videos that credit him in the description. Using the pack inside your own project needs his permission, and reposting it on other sites as your own is not allowed.

4 questions
How do I install Custom Skies/Cubemaps on Bedrock?
Get the .mcpack file from the CurseForge page and open it with Minecraft, which imports it automatically. Then open your world settings and enable the pack under Resource Packs. Finish by switching off Render Clouds in Video settings, since the pack asks for that.
Does Custom Skies/Cubemaps work with Vibrant Visuals?
Yes. The pack states that it works with the Vibrant Visuals mode.
Why should I turn off Render Clouds?
Mod_MC asks players to turn off Render Clouds in Video settings when using this pack, and the instruction appears as a note on the CurseForge page. No reason is given for it. Switch the option off before loading your world, then enable the pack under Resource Packs in the world settings.
Can I feature Custom Skies/Cubemaps in a video?
Yes. Mod_MC allows videos on the pack as long as you credit him in the video description. Using it inside your own project is different and needs his permission, which he asks people to request through Discord, under the username grumm7613.
