Real Ragdoll

Supported mobs collapse into physics-driven ragdolls that react to the killing blow, tumble over terrain and can be pushed by players. Settings, commands and optional experimental extras are built in.

The Real Ragdoll addon replaces the standard death animation with a simulated ragdoll. It is a Bedrock-only addon from Yebbs69, delivered as a single .mcaddon file, and it needs no other packs. Supported mobs collapse, tumble across the terrain and settle into a natural resting position.

Supported versions

  • Minecraft 26.40 to 26.50.

What it adds

Each body reacts to the direction and strength of the killing blow, collides with blocks and its own limbs, and can be pushed by nearby players. Humanoid mobs use six-part rigs, while animals, creepers, spiders and cave spiders use custom rigs.

  • Directional knockback from attacks and explosions, with knockback enchantments throwing bodies about 1.5 blocks further per level.
  • Skeletons, strays, wither skeletons, bogged and parched die as loose bones.
  • Armor changes how a body sinks in water, from slow copper and chainmail to fast netherite, while leather floats.
  • Burnt mobs turn to ash, and bodies react to slime, beds, cobwebs and pistons.
  • A craftable ragdoll item from one dirt block: hit a mob to knock it down, or use it to go limp yourself.
  • A Settings menu for the ragdoll toggle, corpse cap, quality presets, a fall height slider (10 to 100 blocks) and despawn time from 5 to 120 seconds, 30 by default. Bodies can also be kept forever.

Vanilla loot and supported player kill experience rewards still apply. The list covers humanoids, farm and wild animals, aquatic mobs, hostile mobs and golems, from zombies and villagers to wardens and copper golems. Bosses and utility actors are not supported.

Installation and commands

  1. 1.Open the .mcaddon file with Minecraft Bedrock so it imports. The general steps are in how to install add-ons on Bedrock.
  2. 2.Switch on the behavior pack and the resource pack in your world's settings.
  3. 3.Run /realragdoll:settings to open the Settings menu, /realragdoll:experimental for the experimental menu, or /realragdoll:clearall to remove every ragdoll.

Limits

Real Ragdoll is under active development, so bugs and visual glitches can occur. Held items are not shown on bodies. Armor display matches armor type only, with no enchantments, trims or leather dye, and leggings currently sit wrong on a fallen body. Resource packs that replace a supported mob's model or texture layout may not match the custom corpse geometry. If a pack fails to load, see fixing add-ons that do not work.

Questions about Real Ragdoll.

4 questions

How do I install Real Ragdoll on Bedrock?

Open the RealRagdoll .mcaddon file with Minecraft Bedrock so it imports, then enable its behavior pack and resource pack in the world settings. On Windows, double-clicking the file works. On phones and tablets, choose to open it with Minecraft.

Which mobs does Real Ragdoll support?

It covers zombies, skeletons, villagers, piglins and endermen, many animals, aquatic mobs, hostile mobs such as creepers, spiders, ghasts and wardens, and the iron, snow and copper golems. Bosses and utility actors are not supported, though more mobs are planned.

How long do ragdoll bodies stay in the world?

Bodies disappear after 30 seconds by default. The Settings menu lets you set the despawn time anywhere from 5 to 120 seconds, keep bodies forever, or clear every ragdoll at once with the /realragdoll:clearall command.

Can I ragdoll the player with Real Ragdoll?

Yes, through experimental options that are off by default. A player ragdoll can trigger on falls, explosions and the void. The craftable ragdoll item also lets you go limp on demand. Open the experimental menu with /realragdoll:experimental.
