The Immortal Cats addon makes tamed cats immune to every damage source except the /kill command. It is a Bedrock addon, so Java players cannot load it.

Supported versions

  • Minecraft 26.10 to 26.40. The newest build optionally uses Immortal Dogs.

What it adds

Immunity is applied the moment you tame a cat. Cats you tamed before adding the pack are covered too, so an existing world does not need a fresh start.

  • Tamed cats take no damage from any source, with /kill as the only exception.
  • Works on cats that were already tamed before the addon was enabled.
  • Achievements friendly, so worlds with the addon on can still earn them.
  • No required dependency packs. Immortal Dogs is optional.

How to install Immortal Cats

  1. 1.Download the file from the CurseForge page and open it with Bedrock. A .mcaddon or .mcpack file imports on opening.
  2. 2.Create a world or edit an existing one, then open Behavior Packs in the world settings.
  3. 3.Activate Immortal Cats, load the world, and tame a cat to see the immunity apply.

If the pack does not appear or the world will not load, the add-ons installation guide covers the manual folder route.

Trade-offs

Questions about Immortal Cats.

3 questions

Does Immortal Cats protect cats from the /kill command?

No. The addon makes tamed cats immune to all damage sources, but the /kill command is the one exception. Any cat can still be removed with it. The creator describes the addon as achievements friendly, with /kill the only source of harm it does not cover.

Does Immortal Cats work on cats I already tamed?

Yes. Immunity is added right after you tame a new cat, and cats that were tamed before you enabled the addon are covered as well. You can switch it on in an existing world without taming anything again.

Do I need Immortal Dogs to use Immortal Cats?

No. The newest release requires no other pack to run. Immortal Dogs is listed as an optional dependency, so you can install it alongside Immortal Cats if you want, but Immortal Cats works on its own and nothing needs to be added first.
