Ore Finder – "Advanced Ore Scanner" is a Bedrock ore finder addon by Shadowgamer100k that adds one upgradeable scanner item. It finds the closest ore vein within a set radius and points you to it with sound cues, interface signals and optional particles instead of seeing through walls. It is Bedrock only and ships as a single .mcaddon file.
Supported versions
- Minecraft 1.21.130 to 26.30.
What it adds
The scanner covers coal, iron, gold (Overworld and Nether), diamond, emerald, lapis, redstone, copper, nether quartz and ancient debris. You choose the target ore from a menu styled like an operating system, with an upgrade store and a live battery readout. Upgrades are paid for with XP levels.
- Range Booster, which widens the scan radius up to 16 blocks.
- Visualizer Module, which spawns particles on detected ore to mark the exact block.
- Eco Mode, a 50 percent chance to save durability on each scan.
- Hands Free Mode, which scans from your inventory without holding the item.
Battery and balance
Item durability acts as the battery, shown as a colour-coded percentage. The device shuts down before it is fully drained and repairs itself while idle, so the item is never lost. Each player can run only one active scan at a time, and the scan uses spherical logic meant to avoid lag. The creator describes it as safe for creative worlds and SMP servers.
How to use it
- 1.Import the .mcaddon by opening it with Bedrock, then switch on its packs in your world settings. The add-on install guide covers the steps.
- 2.Hold the Ore Finder and sneak while using it to open the menu.
- 3.Pick the ore you want to locate.
- 4.Follow the sound cues and interface signals to the vein.
- 5.Spend XP levels on modules to improve range and efficiency.
Ore Finder add-on, Advanced Ore Scanner overview
Questions about Ore Finder – "Advanced Ore Scanner".
3 questions
How do I install Ore Finder on Bedrock?
Download the .mcaddon file and open it with Bedrock, which imports it automatically. Then create or edit a world, open its settings, and switch on the add-on's packs. Load the world, hold the Ore Finder, and sneak while using it to open the menu.
Does Ore Finder need experimental toggles?
The newest file lists no requirements, so no experimental toggles are named for it. If the add-on seems inactive in a world, check that its packs are switched on in the world's settings before changing anything else.
Can I use Ore Finder on a multiplayer server?
The creator describes the add-on as server safe and suitable for SMP play, with one active scan per player and no wall-hack behavior. Realms support is not stated anywhere, so treat it as untested there and try it on a spare world before committing.
