Planes Add-on

Adds wooden, bamboo and copper planes you craft from a Plane Engine. Copper planes oxidize over time unless you wax them.

Planes Add-on is a Minecraft Bedrock addon by EndXenocMC, with CerealDrop54 credited as co-author, that adds craftable planes to your world. It is Bedrock only, has no loader, and ships as a single .mcaddon file. The listing names no required dependencies.

Supported versions

  • Minecraft 1.21.60 to 1.21.124.

What it adds

The add-on is deliberately small. Every plane starts from a Plane Engine, which you craft first, and the engine then sits in the centre of each plane recipe.

  • Wooden planes, made from stripped logs and planks around the engine.
  • A bamboo plane, made the same way with stripped bamboo blocks and bamboo planks.
  • Copper planes, made by surrounding the engine with copper blocks. Oxidized copper blocks give oxidized variants.

Copper planes oxidize on their own, somewhere between 900 and 3600 seconds. Wax one with a honeycomb to freeze its look, or use an axe to deoxidize it.

Questions about Planes Add-on.

4 questions

How do I install the Planes Add-on on Bedrock?

Download the .mcaddon file and open it with Minecraft Bedrock to import it. Then open your world's settings and turn the add-on on there. Load the world and craft a Plane Engine to begin making planes.

How do you craft a plane in the Planes Add-on?

Craft the Plane Engine first. For a wooden plane, put the engine in the centre and surround it with stripped logs and planks. Bamboo uses stripped bamboo blocks and bamboo planks. Copper planes use copper blocks around the engine.

Do copper planes rust in the Planes Add-on?

Yes. Copper planes oxidize naturally over time, between 900 and 3600 seconds. You can stop the process by waxing a plane with a honeycomb, or reverse it by using an axe to deoxidize it. Oxidized copper blocks in the recipe give oxidized variants directly.

Can I use the Planes Add-on on Java Edition?

No. It is a Bedrock Edition add-on distributed as a .mcaddon file, and Java Edition cannot load that format.
