Random Drops

A Bedrock challenge addon by TryzzMC. Every block you break gives a random item or block, so a normal survival run turns into improvisation.

Random Drops is a Bedrock addon by TryzzMC that makes every block and item drop random. Break a block and you get a random item or block instead of the one it should give. It is Bedrock only, so Java players need a different format.

Supported versions

  • Minecraft 1.21.130 to 26.50.

What it changes

The rule is simple. The pool covers all blocks and items up to Bedrock 1.26.30, so a survival run turns into a luck-driven challenge where nothing you mine matches what you planned.

  • Every block you break drops a random item or block.
  • The drop pool includes all blocks and items up to Bedrock 1.26.30.
  • Listed on CurseForge under Survival, Multiplayer, Roleplay, Utility and Maps.

How to install Random Drops

Installing follows the usual Bedrock routine. The install guide covers each step in more detail, and the troubleshooting guide helps if the pack does not show up.

  1. 1.Download the addon from the CurseForge page linked on this site.
  2. 2.Open the downloaded pack file with Minecraft so it imports (double-click on Windows, open with Minecraft on phones and tablets).
  3. 3.Create a world or edit an existing one, then switch the pack on under Behavior Packs, and under Resource Packs if the download includes one.
  4. 4.Load the world and break a block to see what drops.

The addon links no source code, wiki or issue tracker, so its CurseForge page is the only reference for how it behaves.

Questions about Random Drops.

4 questions

How do I install Random Drops on Bedrock?

Download the pack from its CurseForge page and open the file with Minecraft so it imports. Then edit your world, open Behavior Packs and activate Random Drops, and do the same under Resource Packs if the download includes one. Load the world and break any block to test it.

Does Random Drops work on Java Edition?

No. Random Drops is a Bedrock addon, and Java Edition cannot load addons in this format. Java uses a different format, so this pack will not import there.

Does Random Drops need experimental toggles?

The creator's page names no experimental toggles, and the newest build lists no required packs or dependencies. You still need to switch the addon on per world under Behavior Packs, since importing the file alone does not activate it.

What does Random Drops actually randomize?

It randomizes what you receive when you break a block. Instead of the normal drop, you get a random item or block from a pool covering all blocks and items up to Bedrock 1.26.30, which turns normal survival progress into a challenge.
