Wan's Redstone Caves is a Bedrock addon from WanMine that turns redstone into the centre of a new underground biome. It adds robotic mobs, two tiers of machinery and a custom energy network, and it was made for the CurseForge ModJam 2025. It runs on Bedrock only.
Supported versions
- Minecraft 1.21.80 to 26.20.
What it adds
The biome is a glowing cave of crystalline ores, cubic formations and glowing stalactites, with a look inspired by Horizon Zero Dawn. It adds two new stone types, Magnetite and Hematite, plus redstone vegetation and crystalline lava pools. There is no vanilla lava, water or stone inside it.
The wildlife is mechanical. Six hostile robotic mobs are bound to red Wild Network Cores. Use a Player Network Core to tame and convert them into pets, helpers or farming companions.
The energy network
Machines draw power from a network instead of cables or hoppers. The system works like this.
- Generators produce stable energy using Bluestone, a synthetic mineral made by fusing redstone dust and a diamond.
- Machines use fixed energy costs, with no ticks or timers.
- Network Cores connect machines in range automatically, and sub-networks handle storage routing.
- Tier 1 machines use iron and Bluestone. Tier 2 machines use Magnetite and Pure Redstone.
- Each machine has a custom GUI for inventory filtering and network-linked storage access.
Installing it
Open the .mcaddon file with Bedrock to import it, then switch on its behavior and resource packs in your world's settings. The Bedrock add-on install guide walks through each step. The newest file lists no required dependency packs, and the page names no experimental toggles.

Questions about Wan's Redstone Caves.
3 questions
How do I install Wan's Redstone Caves on Bedrock?
Open the .mcaddon file with Bedrock and it imports on its own. On Windows, double-click it. On phones and tablets, choose to open it with Minecraft. Then create or edit a world and activate the addon's behavior pack and resource pack in the world settings.
Does Wan's Redstone Caves work on Java Edition?
No. It is a Bedrock addon, and Java cannot load add-ons. CurseForge lists the project under Bedrock addons only, and it ships as a .mcaddon package. To use the biome, robotic mobs and energy network it adds, you need to play on Bedrock.
Is Wan's Redstone Caves finished?
Not yet. The creator says the content is still in development and more will be added. The newest file is redstone_cave_1.0.18.mcaddon, so expect the biome, mobs and machines to keep growing.
