Security Cameras is a Bedrock-only addon from bony162 that turns your world into a surveillance setup. You place camera blocks, then watch live feeds from a craftable tablet. It ships as a behavior pack and a resource pack, and it suits survival bases, roleplay and admin monitoring.

Supported versions

  • Minecraft 1.21 to 26.0.02.

What it adds

The addon adds two items, a security camera and a tablet. Placing a camera opens a menu to name it and mark it private. The tablet then lists every camera you have set up.

  • Two camera modes. Controllable lets you steer the view while watching. Still Camera faces coordinates you type in and stays put.
  • Tablet menu with View Cameras (public or private), Stop Watching and Manage Cameras.
  • Access control. Add or remove players on a private camera, and rename, delete or change privacy from the camera list.
  • Jump or sneak to switch cameras, show or hide the camera's coordinates and biome, and switch languages from the menus.
  • Breaking a camera block removes it from your list.

Questions about Security Cameras.

3 questions

How do I install the Security Cameras addon on Bedrock?

Get both the behavior pack and the resource pack from the CurseForge page, since the creator stresses installing both files. Open each file with Bedrock to import it, then switch both on in your world's settings under Behavior Packs and Resource Packs. After that, craft the camera and tablet.

How do I view my cameras with the tablet?

Hold the tablet and activate it to open its menu, then choose View Cameras and pick public or private cameras. Select a camera to look through it. To stop, open the menu again and choose Stop Watching. You can also switch cameras by jumping or sneaking.

Can I keep my cameras private?

Yes. When you place a camera, the setup menu lets you name it and toggle it private. Later, Manage Cameras then List Cameras lets you change privacy, rename or delete the camera, and add or remove specific players who may view it.
