Tinkers' Bedrock is the Tinkers Construct experience rebuilt for Bedrock Edition by Stratospheer, based on the Java mod by mDiyo. It adds 14 customisable tools assembled from parts and materials, plus three new ores and four alloys. It runs on Bedrock only and loads as a set of behavior packs with one resource pack.
Supported versions
- Minecraft 1.17 to 1.21.
What it adds
Since v2.0 the add-on is split into modules, so lower-end devices can load only what they want. Each module is a standalone behavior pack. The original Java mod is covered on our Tinkers' Construct page.
- Core adds aluminium, cobalt and ardite ores and the alloys bronze, pig iron, alumite and manyullyn. Every module except Gadgetry needs it.
- Without the Smeltery module, the alloys are made in a crafting table.
- Arsenal holds the crafting stations, the 37-page guidebook Materials and You, and the tools.
Tools start with patterns, a Part Builder and a Tinker Station. The Tinker's Forge unlocks the hammer, excavator, broad axe, cleaver, scythe and shuriken. Tools repair in an anvil with their head material. A broken tool needs a Repair Station and loses all its enchantments.
How to install Tinkers' Bedrock
- 1.Import the module behavior packs you want and the Tinkers' Bedrock [RP] resource pack. Our guide to installing add-ons on Bedrock covers the steps.
- 2.Switch them on in the world's settings under Behavior Packs and Resource Packs.
- 3.Place Smeltery above the other modules, or the progression chain breaks.
- 4.Keep Core active whenever you use Arsenal or Smeltery.
The one resource pack covers every module. No experimental toggles are listed for any release.

Questions about Tinkers' Bedrock.
4 questions
How do I install Tinkers' Bedrock?
Import the behavior pack modules you want and the Tinkers' Bedrock resource pack, then enable them in your world's settings. Core is needed for most modules, and Smeltery must sit above the others in the behavior pack list or progression breaks.
Does Tinkers' Bedrock need experimental toggles?
No toggles are listed. The newest release and the older ones for 1.17 to 1.21 all list no requirements, so you only need the packs enabled on the world.
Is Tinkers' Bedrock still updated?
No. The creator marks the add-on as no longer receiving updates and keeps the page as an archive for older Bedrock releases. The newest release targets 1.21.0, so expect problems on later releases.
Is Tinkers' Bedrock the same as the Java Tinkers' Construct mod?
No. It is a Bedrock recreation of mDiyo's Java mod, made by Stratospheer. Java Edition cannot load add-ons, and the Java mod cannot run on Bedrock.
