Villager Soldier Vanilla is a villager soldier addon for Bedrock Edition by AnhemSteve. It adds village guard units and extra golems, and Version 7 adds a labor system where villagers work for wages. It runs without experimental settings, and it does not touch illagers.

Supported versions

  • Minecraft 1.21.90 to 26.10.

What it adds

Guards and golems help protect a village, and illagers are left unedited. The addon is fully compatible with any resource pack.

  • Village guard units that protect villagers.
  • More golems to help protect the village.
  • A Free Handle villager type that joins the workforce.
  • Progression for all 13 villager professions, from level 0 to 5.

How the labor system works

A Free Handle villager is paid 1 bread per day. Skip wages for 3 days and it reverts to a vanilla villager. To recruit an ordinary villager, give it a Free Handle Decree.

Villagers earn XP by working and level up every 100 XP. Each profession has its own processing recipes and a reward per work cycle that grows with level. A butcher cooks raw meat and turns a pumpkin into 4 pumpkin pies. A fletcher crafts bows and crossbows, and makes Copper Boom munitions from 2 copper ingots and gunpowder. A cleric turns arrows into random tipped arrows and glass bottles into random positive potions. A leatherworker can upgrade diamond horse armor to netherite.

Installation

The newest file is a single .mcaddon, Villager Soldier Vanilla Version 7.0.4. Open it with Bedrock to import it, then switch on its behavior and resource packs in your world's settings. No Experiments toggles are needed. The install guide covers each platform, and the troubleshooting guide helps if the packs do not appear.
