BlockFront turns Minecraft Java into a WW2 combat shooter. This modpack bundles the underlying mod's rifles, submachine guns, tanks, and multiplayer maps into one NeoForge install for version 1.21.1, and it needs to run on both the client and the server for anyone to connect.

Installing the BlockFront modpack
BlockFront ships as a Modrinth `.mrpack` file, so the simplest route is the Modrinth App, which downloads the pack and its NeoForge install automatically. A `.mrpack`-aware launcher like Prism Launcher can import the same file by hand. Our modpack install guide covers both routes step by step. Because the mod is required on both sides, a server hosting BlockFront needs the exact same pack version installed before players can join.
Loader and version support
Support is narrow right now. BlockFront publishes for NeoForge only, and its newest build, 0.9.0.30b released 11 September 2026, tops out at Minecraft 1.21.1. There is no Fabric, Forge, or Quilt release, so players on those loaders cannot join a BlockFront server.
Multiplayer and community
The pack's main draw is its matchmaking system, which puts players into WW2-themed matches and tracks kills, deaths, streaks, achievements, and rank progression. Players can add friends, form parties, and join each other's games directly. Players after a lighter-weight firearms mod without the full map package could also look at TaCZ.
