Breakneck Optimized is a lightweight optimization modpack that tunes vanilla Minecraft on Fabric. It raises and steadies framerate, draws distant terrain with voxy and bundles eight shader packs. Every mod runs on your side only, so it works in singleplayer and on any server that vanilla can join.

What it changes
Sodium rebuilds the renderer. Lithium and C2ME speed up game logic and chunk loading, while FerriteCore and ModernFix cut memory use. ImmediatelyFast, More Culling and AsyncParticles trim what is left, and Dynamic FPS lowers resource use while the window is in the background.
Voxy turns terrain beyond your render distance into lightweight LODs, built from chunks you explore, including on servers. In singleplayer, Voxy WorldGen generates land around you so the far view is there from the start. HaXr's own measurement on 26.2 with a 5.0 beta found the default 12 chunks plus voxy showed more of the world than vanilla at 32 chunks, with 45% more frames.

OptiFine packs and quality of life
Resource packs made for OptiFine work as intended. Continuity handles connected textures and Entity Model Features covers custom entity models, with Iris running shaders. Fresh Animations, Falling Leaves, Wavey Capes and Ambient Environment add motion and colour variation.
The utility layer includes ViaFabricPlus for joining servers on other versions, Xaero's World Map, Roughly Enough Items, Inventory Profiles Next, Mouse Tweaks, AppleSkin, Controllable and Simple Voice Chat, which needs the server to run it too.
How to install Breakneck
- 1.Open the Modrinth App, or Prism Launcher or another launcher that reads .mrpack files.

Does Breakneck Optimized work on multiplayer servers?
Yes. Every mod is client-side, so you can join any server that vanilla Minecraft can, and nothing needs installing on the server. The one exception is proximity voice chat, which only works when the server also runs Simple Voice Chat.
Does voxy work on servers?
Yes. Voxy turns the chunks you explore into LODs, so on a server the far view fills in as you travel. In singleplayer, Voxy WorldGen also generates land around you, so distant terrain is visible from the start.
What graphics card does Breakneck need?
Voxy requires a graphics card with OpenGL 4.6 support, so the distant terrain feature needs a GPU that offers it. Of the eight bundled shader packs, Glimmer is described as natural and light on performance, and Mellow as painterly and easy on your computer. Shader packs are optional, and you can play without one.
Can I use OptiFine resource packs with Breakneck?
Yes. Resource packs made for OptiFine work as intended. Iris handles shaders, Continuity handles connected textures, Entity Model Features and Entity Texture Features cover entity models and textures, and CIT Resewn Continuation handles custom item textures.
