Simply Legacy is a modpack for Minecraft Java that carries the Legacy Console experience onto a current release, as if the console line had kept receiving content updates. It runs on Fabric and is required on both the client and the server. It is a Legacy4J project from the Lasting Legacy organisation, published on Modrinth, and it replaces the deprecated Re-Console Lite.

What's included
Legacy4J by WilyIcaro does the heavy lifting. It supplies the console crafting interface, menus, controller input and the washed-out gamma. Minimega by Jab125 adds console-style mini-games (Glide and Fistfight so far). The pack also bundles texture packs, skin packs, mash-up worlds and Limited Worlds.

- OptiFine resource pack features, borderless fullscreen and custom options presets.
- No telemetry.
- Online multiplayer through e4mc, plus built-in entries for the Re-Console Network servers (Survival, Creative and Anarchy).

How to install Simply Legacy
Import the pack through the Modrinth App, Prism Launcher or another launcher that reads .mrpack files. The launcher fetches the listed mods and Fabric for you. Our modpack install guide walks through it, and the Fabric guide covers the loader if you prefer to set it up by hand.
Who it suits
Pick it if you want console nostalgia with fewer moving parts and a performance focus. Not every bundled mod is guaranteed an update the moment something breaks, so expect the pack to follow its own methodical schedule.

What is the difference between Simply Legacy and Re-Console?
Simply Legacy is the leaner pack. It adds manual saving but leaves out built-in shaders, extra Java-specific texture packs, Alpha and Beta packs, OptiFine gameplay features, extra utilities, bridging and Simple Voice Chat. Re-Console includes those and also carries every tutorial world revision.
Does Simply Legacy work in multiplayer?
Yes. Online multiplayer works through e4mc, and the pack ships with entries for the Re-Console Network servers covering Survival, Creative and Anarchy. Because the pack is required on both sides, anyone joining your own server needs it installed as well.
Which loader does Simply Legacy use?
Simply Legacy runs on Fabric only. Launchers that import Modrinth packs, such as the Modrinth App or Prism Launcher, install Fabric automatically along with the listed mods, so no separate loader setup is needed.
Does Simply Legacy include mini-games and skin packs?
Yes. Minimega provides console-style mini-games, currently Glide and Fistfight.
