Advanced Loot Info (ALI) is an advanced loot info mod for Minecraft Java that puts loot tables and villager trades into the recipe viewer you already use. It runs on Fabric, NeoForge and Forge and is required on both the client and the server. No commands, no wiki digging.

Loaders and versions

What it shows

ALI is not a standalone mod. It is a plugin for EMI, Just Enough Items or Roughly Enough Items, and it adds loot categories to whichever viewer you run. The detail is the point: you see what a drop depends on, not only that it exists.

  • Chest loot, listed pool by pool.
  • Drop chances, shown per item.
  • Loot conditions and functions in the tooltip.
  • Villager trades alongside the loot tables.

Installation

  1. 1.Install a recipe viewer on the loader you play: EMI, JEI or REI.
  2. 2.Install Advanced Core Info (ACI), the shared library ALI relies on. The loader refuses a mismatched pair instead of failing later.
  3. 3.Place ALI and ACI in the mods folder on both the client and the server, then launch with the loader's profile.

Extending it

LootJS works out of the box. For other mods that ship no ALI plugin of their own, the optional ALI Compat mod adds support. Plugin authors can display custom loot entries, conditions and functions, work with custom number providers, and create custom categories (for now only from the Gameplay loot category).

World generation is a separate mod, Advanced Worldgen Info (AWI). It is independent of ALI, so you can install either one or both.

Questions about Advanced Loot Info.

4 questions

Does Advanced Loot Info work without JEI, EMI or REI?

No. Advanced Loot Info has no screen of its own. It is a plugin that adds loot table and villager trade categories to one of three recipe viewers: Just Enough Items, EMI or Roughly Enough Items. Install one of them first, then add ALI so the new categories can appear.

Does Advanced Loot Info need to be installed on the server?

Yes. It is required on both the client and the server. The shared Advanced Core Info library handles server to client data transfer, which is how loot information reaches the recipe viewer.

Can Advanced Loot Info show loot from other mods?

LootJS is supported out of the box. For other mods that ship no ALI plugin of their own, install the optional ALI Compat mod. Mod authors can also write plugins that display custom loot entries, conditions and functions.

Does Advanced Loot Info show world generation?

Not by itself. ALI covers loot tables and villager trades. Where features generate, how often and at which height belongs to Advanced Worldgen Info (AWI), a separate mod from the same project. ALI and AWI are independent, so you can install either one or both.
