Enchanting Infuser replaces the guesswork of a vanilla enchanting table with a block where you pick each enchantment yourself. It runs on Fabric and NeoForge for Minecraft Java, is required on both the client and the server, and reuses the enchanting table's bookshelf progression so a stronger setup still means a stronger result.
How the enchanting infuser works
Place an item in the infuser and it lists the enchantments that item can take, each with its own experience level cost shown next to it. Choosing one costs levels instead of leaving the result to chance, and picking a rarer or higher-tier enchantment costs more. Nearby bookshelves raise the block's enchanting power exactly like they do for a vanilla table, and a low-power setup blocks the strongest options until more bookshelves are added.
- No randomness: every listed enchantment and its level cost are visible before you commit.
- Bookshelves add enchanting power the same way they do around a vanilla enchanting table.
- The infuser can optionally offer anvil-only combinations, such as Sharpness on an axe, when the config allows it.
- Costs, bookshelf requirements, and which enchantments are available are all configurable per world.
Basic and advanced infuser
The basic infuser only adds fresh enchantments to unenchanted gear or books. The advanced infuser can also edit an already-enchanted item: raise or lower an existing enchantment's level, strip one out entirely, repair durability by spending experience levels instead of repair materials, and disenchant an item to recover experience, similar to a grindstone.
Installation and dependencies
Puzzles Lib is required on every supported loader. Fabric builds additionally require Fabric API and Forge Config API Port, and the Forge builds for 1.20.4 also needed Forge Config API Port. NeoForge and older Forge builds only need Puzzles Lib.
Supported loaders and versions
Fabric and NeoForge both reach the current 26.3 release, with the newest build for each published 2026-09-23. Forge support stopped after 1.20.4; its last published build, back-ported to 1.20.1, shipped 2024-07-13. Pick Fabric or NeoForge for anything on a current version, since Forge is no longer receiving updates here.

Questions about Enchanting Infuser.
5 questions
How do I install Enchanting Infuser?
Download the build matching your loader and Minecraft version from Modrinth or CurseForge, then add Puzzles Lib. Fabric also needs Fabric API and Forge Config API Port. Place all jars in the mods folder on both the client and the server, since the mod is required on each.
Which Minecraft versions and loaders does Enchanting Infuser support?
Fabric and NeoForge both reach the current 26.3 release as of September 2026. Forge support stopped at 1.20.4, and its last build was a 1.20.1 back-port published in July 2024, so Forge no longer gets new versions.
Do I need Enchanting Infuser on the server, or just the client?
Both. The mod lists itself as required on the client and required on the server. Installing it on only one side means the infuser block either will not work or will not sync correctly for connecting players.
What is the difference between the basic and advanced infuser?
The basic infuser only enchants unenchanted items and books. The advanced infuser can also edit an item's existing enchantments, repair it using experience levels instead of materials, and disenchant it to recover experience, similar to a grindstone.
Where can I download Enchanting Infuser?
Modrinth and CurseForge both list every build sorted by loader and Minecraft version. Fuzs, the mod's creator, publishes to both, so either page points to the same files as the source repository.
