Ender IO is a full-featured tech mod for Minecraft Java on NeoForge and Forge, and it belongs on both sides of a multiplayer setup. It adds machines, armor, tools, weapons, enchantments and decorative blocks, with inventory management and mobs on top. Anyone looking for the Ender IO mod mostly wants its conduit network, which carries items, fluids, energy and redstone signals.
Loaders and versions
- NeoForge: Minecraft 1.21 to 26.1.2. The newest build needs no dependencies, optionally Applied Energistics 2, Just Enough Items (JEI), Mekanism, CC: Tweaked and Athena.
- Forge: Minecraft 1.7.10 to 1.20.1. The newest build needs no dependencies, optionally Applied Energistics 2, Just Enough Items (JEI), Mekanism, CC: Tweaked and Athena; builds for 1.12.2 require EnderCore; builds for 1.7.10 to 1.10.2 require EnderCore.
What it adds
Conduits are the backbone. Item, fluid, energy and redstone conduits cover the basics, and further types plug into Applied Energistics 2 ME networks, Refined Storage and Mekanism chemicals.
- Machines, filed under the Processing category.
- Armor, tools and weapons from the same tech line.
- Enchantments and decorative blocks.
- An inventory panel module in the legacy 1.12.2 line.
Installation
- 1.Install NeoForge or Forge for the Minecraft release you want to play.
- 2.Place the Ender IO file for that loader and release in the mods folder inside your .minecraft directory.
- 3.Add the same file on the host for multiplayer, since files are tagged for both sides.
- 4.Launch with the loader's profile.
Known conflicts
The legacy 1.12.2 line ships as one monolithic file. Moar Tinkers, LiteLoader and Laggoggles are known to crash when installed beside it, and the fault lies in those mods, not in Ender IO. Unidict and AE2 can cause recipe conflicts, though workarounds keep survival play unaffected.

Questions about Ender IO.
3 questions
Does Ender IO work on Fabric?
No. Ender IO is published for NeoForge and Forge only. Pick the loader that matches your Minecraft release, then use the Ender IO file made for that loader. Files for different loaders cannot be swapped.
Do I need to install Ender IO on both sides in multiplayer?
Yes. The files are tagged for both sides, so the host and every player should run it.
Is Ender IO still being updated?
Yes. The newest NeoForge file is an alpha dated 2026-09-07 and the newest Forge file is a beta dated 2026-03-08. The mod is being rewritten from the ground up, so some older features are still being ported.
