Explosive Enhancement is an explosive enhancement mod for Fabric that makes explosions look better. It swaps the stock blast animation for a set of new particles and adds a dedicated underwater effect. It runs on the client only, so nothing changes for other players.
Loaders and versions
- Fabric: Minecraft 1.19.2 to 26.3. The newest build requires Fabric API, optionally YetAnotherConfigLib (YACL) and Mod Menu; some builds for 1.20 to 1.20.6 need no dependencies; some builds for 1.19.2 to 1.20.1 require YetAnotherConfigLib (YACL) and Fabric API.
What it changes
The mod is deliberately small. Explosions get richer visuals, and every particle type can be toggled separately. You can also turn the whole mod off from its config, or disable the default explosion effect and keep only the new ones.
- New explosion particles, each one switchable on its own.
- A special underwater explosion effect, with an optional burst of many bubbles.
- A master toggle for the entire mod, plus a switch for the default effect.
Installation
- 1.Install Fabric for your Minecraft release, following the guide on installing Fabric.
- 2.Put the mod file and Fabric API in the mods folder, then launch the Fabric profile.
- 3.To change settings in-game, add Mod Menu as well.
Trade-offs
This mod covers Fabric alone, so Forge and NeoForge players are out of luck.
Questions about Explosive Enhancement.
3 questions
Does Explosive Enhancement work on multiplayer servers?
The mod is required on the client and unsupported on the server. Install it on your own machine and do not put it in a server's mods folder.
Do I need Mod Menu to use Explosive Enhancement?
Mod Menu is only needed if you want to edit the config in-game. Fabric API is required either way.
Can I turn off individual explosion effects?
Yes. Each new particle can be enabled or disabled separately in the config. You can also disable the whole mod, or turn off the default explosion effect, and the underwater bubble burst has its own option.
