FTB Essentials is a command mod from the FTB team for Fabric, NeoForge and Forge. It covers the everyday needs of a multiplayer world: homes, warps, teleport requests, random teleport and a handful of admin tools. Files are tagged for both client and server.
Loaders and versions
- Fabric: Minecraft 1.19.2 to 26.1.2. The newest build requires Fabric API and FTB Library (Fabric), optionally FTB Ranks (Fabric); some builds for 1.19.2 to 1.21.11 require Fabric API, Architectury API and FTB Library (Fabric); some builds for 1.20.4 need no dependencies.
- NeoForge: Minecraft 1.20.4 to 26.1.2. The newest build requires FTB Library (NeoForge), optionally FTB Ranks (NeoForge); some builds for 1.21 to 1.21.11 require FTB Library (NeoForge) and Architectury API; some builds for 1.20.4 need no dependencies.

What the commands cover
The teleport set is the core. /home, /sethome, /delhome and /listhomes manage personal homes, while /warp, /setwarp, /delwarp and /listwarps handle shared points. /back returns you to your previous location and can be used several times. /spawn goes to spawn. /rtp sends you to a random spot and tries to find a safe, non-ocean landing.
- Requests: /tpa asks to teleport to a player, /tpahere asks a player to come to you, and /tpaccept or /tpadeny answer, with an on-screen button for each.
- Admin tools: /invsee views and edits another player's inventory, /mute and /unmute control chat, /heal restores health and food, /fly toggles flight, and /teleport_last jumps to a player's last known location.
- Quality of life: /hat puts your held item in the helmet slot, /trashcan opens an inventory that deletes whatever you close it with, and /nick or /nickfor change chat nicknames.
- Odd one out: /kickme removes you from the server, a leftover fix for a bed bug.
Installing FTB Essentials
- 1.Install the loader that matches your Minecraft release. The guides for Fabric and Forge and NeoForge cover it.
- 2.Download the FTB Essentials file for that loader and release from CurseForge, plus FTB Library and any other required library listed above.
- 3.Put every .jar in the mods folder of the server and of each client, then start with the loader's profile.
FTB Ranks is an optional addition on the newest builds.
Questions about FTB Essentials.
4 questions
Does FTB Essentials work on multiplayer servers?
Yes. It exists for multiplayer servers, and its files are tagged for both client and server. Put the mod and its required libraries in the mods folder of the server. Teleport requests from /tpa and /tpahere come with an on-screen button for accepting or denying.
How do I set a home with FTB Essentials?
Run /sethome followed by a name to save your current position. Use /home with that name to teleport back, /delhome to remove it, and /listhomes to see the ones you have saved.
Which loaders does FTB Essentials support?
It has builds for Fabric, NeoForge and Forge. Each file only works with the loader it was made for, installed for the matching Minecraft release. It is Java Edition only, and Bedrock Edition cannot load it. The install guides on this page cover each loader.
Does FTB Essentials need other mods to run?
Most builds do. Dependencies vary by loader and Minecraft release, so check the list on this page for your build. The newest builds on every loader require FTB Library, and FTB Ranks is optional. Install every required library alongside the mod, or it will not load.
