FTB Ultimine is a Minecraft Java mod that lets you harvest many blocks at once. It runs on NeoForge and Forge, and its files are tagged for both client and server. Hold the activation key and the mod breaks multiple blocks together, with the drops gathering right below your feet.
Loaders and versions
- NeoForge: Minecraft 1.20.4 to 26.1.2. The newest build requires FTB Library (NeoForge), optionally FTB Ranks (NeoForge); builds for 1.20.4 to 1.21.11 require FTB Library (NeoForge) and Architectury API.
- Forge: Minecraft 1.10.2 to 1.20.4. The newest build requires FTB Library (NeoForge) and Architectury API; builds for 1.10.2 to 1.15.2 need no dependencies.
What it does
- Mining. Hold the activation key (Tilde/Grave by default, rebindable in the controls screen) to break a group of blocks in one action. It also digs tunnels and staircases up or down.
- Outlines. From 1.15 onward, white lines mark every block that is about to be mined, tilled or harvested, so you see the area before you commit.
- Farming. Use a hoe on grass to till a patch, or right-click crops to harvest them together. Grass gets special handling that reaches blocks further than one away.
- Shovels. A shovel can flatten grass and dirt into paths across an area.
Configuration and control
Server owners get real levers. Item tags such as ftbultimine:excluded_tools keep chosen tools out of the system, and ftbultimine:excluded_blocks protects blocks from ever being ultimined. A non-empty ftbultimine:block_whitelist flips that around so only listed blocks qualify. If you already use another harvesting mod such as Right Click Harvest, add its crops to ftbultimine:single_crop_harvesting_blacklist so the two do not fight over the right-click.
That makes tiered permissions on a shared world straightforward.
Installation
- 1.Install NeoForge or Forge for your Minecraft release, following the Forge and NeoForge guide.
- 2.Place the FTB Ultimine file and its required libraries in the mods folder.
- 3.Do the same on the dedicated server, then launch with the loader's profile.
- 4.Check the activation key in the controls screen.
How to Ultimine like a pro
Questions about FTB Ultimine.
4 questions
How do I activate FTB Ultimine?
Hold the activation key, which defaults to Tilde/Grave, then break a block as usual. Gathered items collect right below your feet. From 1.15 onward, white outlines mark the blocks that will be mined. You can rebind the key in the Minecraft controls screen like any other keybinding.
Does FTB Ultimine work on multiplayer servers?
Yes. Its files are tagged for both client and server, and the server config controls limits such as the maximum block count. Install it on the dedicated server as well as on each player's setup, along with its required libraries.
Can I stop FTB Ultimine from breaking certain blocks?
Yes. Add blocks to the ftbultimine:excluded_blocks tag and they can never be ultimined. Tools can be blocked with ftbultimine:excluded_tools. A non-empty ftbultimine:block_whitelist does the opposite, allowing only the blocks it lists.
Does FTB Ultimine clash with other crop harvesting mods?
It can, because both react to right-click on crops. Add the affected crops to the ftbultimine:single_crop_harvesting_blacklist block tag and FTB Ultimine will ignore them, leaving the other mod's right-click behaviour intact.
