Industrial Foregoing is a tech mod for Java that automates farming, resource processing, mob handling, fluids and power through a large set of machines. It runs on NeoForge and Forge, and takes its inspiration from MineFactory Reloaded.

Loaders and versions

  • NeoForge: Minecraft 1.21 to 1.21.1. The newest build requires Titanium.
  • Forge: Minecraft 1.14.4 to 1.20.1. The newest build requires Titanium and Patchouli, optionally Just Enough Items (JEI) and Curios API; some builds for 1.14.4 to 1.16.3 require Titanium.

What the machines do

  • Resource automation: process ores, produce power and handle fluids with machines like the Material Stonework Factory and Dissolution Chamber.
  • Farming: the Plant Sower, Harvester and Animal Baby Separator cover crops and livestock.
  • Mob management: the Mob Crusher, Slaughter Factory and Protein Reactors belong to the set that automates mob spawning, handling and fluid collection.
  • Power: the Bioreactor and Biofuel Generator produce energy.
  • Fluids: the Fluid Pump and Fluid Extractor move and collect liquids.
  • Upgrades and add-ons raise the productivity of each machine.

The mod also supports CraftTweaker, so pack makers can adjust recipes with scripts.

Getting started

The first goal is rubber, and the path is short.

  1. 1.Collect latex with a Fluid Extractor placed in front of a log.
  2. 2.Feed the latex, some water and power into a Latex Processing Unit.
  3. 3.Collect the piles of rubber, then read the in-game manual for the next machines.

Installation

Pick the loader that matches your Java setup, then follow the Forge and NeoForge setup guide if the loader is not installed yet. The general steps are in how to install mods on Java.

  1. 1.Install NeoForge or Forge for the release you plan to play.
  2. 2.Put the mod file and every library it requires, as listed above, in the mods folder.
  3. 3.Launch with the loader profile and open the manual to begin.
