Ping Wheel is a ping wheel mod for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge that lets players temporarily mark locations and entities, the way modern co-op games do. It is Java only. It runs on both sides, so every player and the multiplayer host need it installed.
Loaders and versions
- Fabric: Minecraft 1.18 to 26.3. The newest build requires Fabric API; some builds for 1.18 to 1.20.1 require Fabric Language Kotlin and Fabric API.
- Forge: Minecraft 1.18 to 26.3. The newest build needs no dependencies.
- NeoForge: Minecraft 1.21 to 26.3. The newest build needs no dependencies.
How pinging works
The default keybind is Mouse5, the forward side button on many mice. Hold Tab, the player list key, and the names of the players show up on the pings.
With item icons enabled, the ping icon is replaced by the matching item texture or model.
Settings
- Run /pingwheel config in chat to change options in game.
- Toggle item icons to swap the ping icon for the item's own texture.
Installation
- 1.Install the loader you use, following the Java mod installation guide if you are new to it.
- 2.Pick the file that matches your loader and your Minecraft release, plus any dependency listed above for Fabric.
- 3.Put the files in the mods folder, on every player's machine and on the multiplayer host.
- 4.Launch with the loader profile and press the ping key in a world.

How do I ping in Ping Wheel?
