The Tier Tagger mod puts a player's PvP tier in front of their name, so a nametag reads like "Ht1 | Ooh_Netiyiy". It is built for Fabric, NeoForge and Quilt and works on the player's side only. It is supported by mctiers.com and needs the ukulib library to run.

Loaders and versions

  • Fabric: Minecraft 1.18 to 26.3. The newest build requires ukulib; some builds for 1.18 to 1.19.2 need no dependencies.
  • NeoForge: Minecraft 26.1 to 26.3. The newest build requires ukulib.
  • Quilt: Minecraft 1.18.2 to 26.3. The newest build requires ukulib; some builds for 1.19.2 need no dependencies.

What it shows

Tier Tagger covers all 8 MCTIERS modes. Other tierlists, SubTiers among them, have been supported since release 2.0. The mode shown in the tag is configurable. If a player is unranked in the chosen mode, the tag falls back to their highest tier overall.

Tier Tagger also has a built-in system to view a player's profile. The icons for modes and websites come from MCTiers and SubTiers.

Installation

  1. 1.Install the loader that matches your release. The guides for Fabric and NeoForge cover the setup.
  2. 2.Put the Tier Tagger file and the ukulib file together in your mods folder.
  3. 3.Launch with the loader's profile.

Trade-offs

The trade-off is an extra download. ukulib must sit beside Tier Tagger, and the mod works on the player's side only.

Questions about Tier Tagger.

4 questions

How do I install Tier Tagger?

Install Fabric, NeoForge or Quilt for your release, then place the Tier Tagger file and ukulib in the mods folder. Launch with that loader's profile. Both files are needed, since the newest releases refuse to run without ukulib.

Do I need Tier Tagger on a multiplayer host?

No. Tier Tagger is a player-side mod, and installing it on a multiplayer host is unsupported. Install it only on your own machine, in the mods folder, together with ukulib and a loader that matches your release. Fabric, NeoForge and Quilt builds exist.

Does Tier Tagger support SubTiers?

Yes. Alongside all 8 MCTIERS modes, other tierlists such as SubTiers have been supported since release 2.0. The tier appears in the player's nametag, and a player who is unranked in the chosen mode shows their highest tier overall instead. The mod is supported by mctiers.com.

What does Tier Tagger show for an unranked player?

If a player has no rank in the mode you selected, the tag shows their highest tier overall instead. That keeps the nametag useful even when your chosen mode has no entry for them.
