Zoomify adds a zoom key to Minecraft Java. Fabric builds run from 1.18 to 26.3, and NeoForge builds cover 26.1 to 26.3. It is client-side: install it on your own game, because servers are not supported. Its selling point is control. The creator states that no values are hard-coded, so zoom time, transitions, sensitivity and hand behaviour are all settings.
How to install Zoomify
The newest builds, for 26.1 to 26.3, require Fabric API, Fabric Language Kotlin, YetAnotherConfigLib (YACL) and KotlinLangForge. Mod Menu is optional and adds a settings button. Older Fabric builds differ. Builds for 1.20 to 1.21.11 need only YACL and Fabric API, and some 1.18 and 1.19 builds use Cloth Config API instead of YACL. Match dependencies to the file you download.
- 1.Install Fabric Loader or NeoForge for your Minecraft version.
- 2.Get the dependencies listed for the Zoomify file you pick, such as Fabric API, Fabric Language Kotlin and YACL, for the same Minecraft version.
- 3.Get the Zoomify file for that version and loader.
- 4.Put every jar in your .minecraft/mods folder (see the installation guide if you are unsure where it is).
- 5.Launch with the loader's profile and press C to zoom.
What you can configure
Open settings with the client command /zoomify or the Mod Menu button. The main options:
- 14 transitions (instant, linear, and ease in, out or in/out for sine, quad, cubic and exponential), chosen separately for zooming in and out.
- Zoom time set in seconds, with a separate value for zooming out.
- Scroll wheel zoom for going further in.
- Relative sensitivity and relative view bobbing that scale down as you zoom.
- Cinematic camera smoothing and an option to stop the hand from zooming.
- Spyglass integration: zoom only while holding a spyglass, or replace spyglass zoom, with the overlay and sound optional.
- A secondary zoom for content creators, with a hide-HUD option and longer zoom times.
- Presets, including one that mimics OptiFine's zoom.
Loaders and versions
Fabric and NeoForge are the current loaders, and the newest build is 2.17.0. Quilt builds stopped at Minecraft 1.20.5 (version 2.13.3). There is no Forge build. The trade-off is the dependency stack: several required mods for a single feature.

Is Zoomify client-side?
Yes. Zoomify is required on the client and unsupported on servers, so install it only in your own mods folder. It changes your local zoom, so there is nothing to put on a server.
How do I install Zoomify on Fabric?

Check the Controls menu first. Minecraft can bind a vanilla action to the default C key, which overrides Zoomify and turns the Zoomify entry red. Rebind one of them. Also confirm all required dependencies are present for your game version.
Is there a NeoForge version of Zoomify?
Yes, for Minecraft 26.1 to 26.3. Older NeoForge versions have no build. Quilt builds ran from 1.18.2 to 1.20.5 and stopped at version 2.13.3, and no Forge build has been published.
