The AntiPopup plugin removes Minecraft's chat reporting system using packets. It targets Bukkit, Spigot, Paper, Purpur and Folia servers, plus Velocity and BungeeCord proxies. It is needed on the server only, and players join with an ordinary install.

What it changes
AntiPopup aims to take chat reporting out of the picture entirely. It also has a feature of its own: it blocks the newer popup warning even when your server does not enforce secure profiles. The creator says the chance of it breaking another plugin is very low, though some plugins might break AntiPopup itself.
Installation and setup
- 1.Drop the plugin file into the plugins folder of your server and restart it. Our plugin installation guide covers the basics.
- 2.Optionally run antipopup setup from the console. The creator recommends it.
- 3.On BungeeCord with ViaVersion, also install the AntiPopup ViaVersion addon. See ViaVersion for that side.
Commands
- antipopup setup turns off enforce-secure-profile in server.properties. It works from the console only.
- antipopup reload reloads the configuration.
Limits worth knowing
On an older server running ViaVersion alongside AntiPopup, players on 1.19.1 and newer will not see the popup. ViaFabric is the exception. Players on 1.19.2 who spoof 1.19 still get the popup, and the creator cannot fix that from the plugin side.

How do I install AntiPopup?
Put the plugin file in the plugins folder of your server and restart it. Nothing else is required. Running antipopup setup in the console is optional but recommended, since it disables enforce-secure-profile in server.properties. Players do not install anything.
Does AntiPopup work on Folia and Velocity?
Yes. It has builds for Folia, Velocity and BungeeCord, alongside Bukkit, Spigot, Paper and Purpur. The newest build lists no dependencies. On BungeeCord with ViaVersion, the creator also asks you to install the AntiPopup ViaVersion addon.
Which Minecraft releases does AntiPopup support?
Builds cover Minecraft 1.17 to 26.2 across all listed server software and proxies. The newest build, 13.2, needs no dependencies.
Does AntiPopup stop the secure chat popup for players on older servers?
With ViaVersion and AntiPopup together, players on 1.19.1 and newer will not see the popup. The exception is ViaFabric, where 1.19.2 players spoofing 1.19 still see it, and the creator cannot fix that in the plugin.
Do players need to install AntiPopup?
No. It is a server-side plugin, and the client side is unsupported. Players join with a normal install. The creator does suggest the No Chat Reports mod for players who want additional protection, but it is optional.
