CrazyEnchantments is a crazy enchantments plugin for Paper, Folia and Purpur that adds over 80 custom enchantments to a Java Edition server. CrazyCrew maintains it. It is server-side only, so players join with a normal client and install nothing.
Server software and versions
- Folia: Minecraft 1.20.6 to 26.2. The newest build needs no dependencies, optionally WorldGuard, GriefPrevention, Towny and EssentialsX.
- Paper: Minecraft 1.8.8 to 26.2. The newest build needs no dependencies, optionally WorldGuard, GriefPrevention, Towny and EssentialsX.
- Purpur: Minecraft 1.19.3 to 26.2. The newest build needs no dependencies, optionally WorldGuard, GriefPrevention, Towny and EssentialsX.
- Spigot: Minecraft 1.8.8 to 1.16.5, builds stopped after March 2023. The newest build needs no dependencies.
Installation
- 1.Place the plugin file in the plugins folder of your server. The plugin installation guide covers the basics.
- 2.Restart the server so the default config files generate.
- 3.Edit the files, then run /crazyenchantments reload to apply changes without another restart.
What it adds
- Over 80 enchantments, sorted into categories, with a way to limit enchantments on items.
- Enchantment books with set destroy and success rates, plus black and white scrolls.
- Magical Dust, scramblers, Lost Books and a Black Smith.
- A shop with multi-currency support.
- Tinkerer, which recycles enchanted items and scales its XP rewards.
- GKitz, a kit system similar to the /kit command in EssentialsX but aware of custom enchantments.
Configuration
A first start creates config.yml, Messages.yml, HeadMap.yml, Gkitz.yml, Tinker.yml, Enchantments.yml and Enchantment-Types.yml. Enchantments.yml and Enchantment-Types.yml control how each enchantment looks and behaves. Gkitz.yml drives the kits, Tinker.yml drives /tinkerer, and the remaining files cover general options and text. Most options carry explanatory comments.
Questions about CrazyEnchantments.
3 questions
How do I install CrazyEnchantments?
Put the plugin file in the plugins folder of a Paper, Folia or Purpur server and restart it. The default config files generate on first start. Edit them, then run /crazyenchantments reload to apply your changes. Players do not install anything and join with a normal client.
Does CrazyEnchantments work on Folia?
Yes. CrazyEnchantments publishes builds for Folia alongside Paper and Purpur. The newest build is marked beta, so test it on a staging server before moving a live network to it. The newest build needs no dependencies.
Do players need to install CrazyEnchantments?
No. The plugin is required on the server and unsupported on the client. Players connect with an unmodified Java Edition client and install nothing.
