What Just TPA works with.
| Platform | Java Edition |
|---|---|
| Loaders | Bukkit, Paper, Spigot |
| Minecraft versions | 1.19, 1.20.1, 1.21.1, 1.21.11, 26.1, 26.2 |
Just TPA adds player-to-player teleport requests to a Bukkit, Paper, or Spigot server. One player sends /tpa, the other accepts or denies it, and nothing else installs or configures. It needs no other plugins, targets Spigot API 1.19 and newer, and its current builds are tested through Minecraft 26.2.
Commands and permissions
- /tpa <player> - send a teleport request to another player
- /tpaccept [player] - accept the next request, or one from a named player
- /tpadeny - deny the current incoming request
- /tpacancel - cancel a request you sent
- /tpahere <player> - ask another player to teleport to you
- /tpareload - reload the config, restricted to server operators
Two permission nodes cover the plugin's optional behavior: justplayer.tpa.wait.bypass skips the teleport request delay, and justplayer.tpa.return-timeout.bypass skips the return-timeout window. Neither is required. Without a permissions plugin, both default to server operators only.
Installing Just TPA on Paper, Spigot, or Bukkit
- 1.Get the current build from the source link above.
- 2.Drop the jar into the server's plugins folder.
- 3.Restart the server so it loads the plugin and generates its config file.
- 4.Check the console for the load message, then test /tpa between two accounts.
Our guide to installing plugins on a Minecraft server covers the general steps for Paper and Spigot in more detail, including where the plugins folder lives and how to confirm a plugin loaded.
Version and platform support
Just TPA targets Bukkit, Paper, and Spigot only. Every loader's most recent build reaches the same ceiling, Minecraft 26.2 (build 20260625-0111, published 2026-06-25), so there is no version gap to plan around between the three. It has no dedicated Folia build and no proxy support for Velocity or BungeeCord, and nothing in the project states either is tested. The plugin runs entirely server-side, so players connect and use its commands without installing anything on their own client.
Multiple listings, one plugin
Just TPA is also listed on Hangar as JustPlayer-TPA and on dev.bukkit.org as Just TPA, both published from the same JustPlayerDE account and pointing at the same GitHub repository. A separate, older dev.bukkit.org and CurseForge listing also titled JustTPA, last updated in 2019 under an all-rights-reserved license, is a different plugin from a different developer and is not related to this project. Searches for tpa plugins also surface Simple Tpa on SpigotMC, a long-running plugin with far more downloads and extra features such as auto-accept and a /back command. It is a reasonable alternative for a server that wants more than a bare teleport-request system.
What Just TPA does not cover
Just TPA is limited to teleport requests. It has no homes, no warps, no economy, and no cross-server support for a network behind a proxy. A server that wants those alongside tpa commands is better served by a broader suite such as EssentialsX, or a dedicated homes plugin such as SetHome or HuskHomes if homes need to work across multiple backend servers.
Questions about Just TPA.
5 questions
How do I install Just TPA?
Download the current build for your server from the source link, then drop the jar file into your server's plugins folder and restart. Just TPA needs no other plugins and generates its config file and permission defaults automatically on first launch. Test it by running /tpa between two player accounts.
Which Minecraft version does Just TPA support?
Just TPA targets Spigot API 1.19 and newer. Its Bukkit, Paper, and Spigot builds all reach the same ceiling, Minecraft version 26.2, published in June 2026, so there is no version split to plan around between the three server platforms.
Does Just TPA need a permissions plugin?
No. Just TPA works with the server's built-in permissions by default. A dedicated permissions plugin such as LuckPerms only becomes useful if an operator wants to grant specific players the wait-bypass or return-timeout-bypass permission nodes instead of leaving them operator-only.
Does Just TPA work on Velocity or BungeeCord?
Just TPA has no proxy build, and nothing in the project documents Velocity or BungeeCord support. It installs on the backend Bukkit, Paper, or Spigot server itself, and teleport requests stay within that one server rather than crossing a proxied network.
Is Just TPA safe to use?
Just TPA is released under the MIT license from a public GitHub repository, and distributed through Modrinth with over 225,000 downloads recorded. It reports anonymous usage metrics through bStats by default, which server owners can disable in the config. Download it from the source link rather than a third-party mirror.
