Animated XP Bars is a simplistic 16x resource pack for Bedrock that replaces the default experience bar with a soft gradient animation. The colour flow runs through 18 frames, and nine styles are built into one pack. It suits players who want a cleaner, calmer HUD while exploring, building or surviving.
Supported versions
- Minecraft 1.21 to 26.50.
What changes visually
The bar is lightweight and performance-friendly, and it works with shaders.
- Anemo, a teal, wind-themed bar.
- Aesthetic, a soft minimal glow.
- RGB, a rainbow colour cycle.
- Sakura, pastel pink highlights.
- Purple, with a gentle purple glow.
- Dark, a spooky bar for night players.
- Ocean, deep sea tones.
- Snowy, built for cold biomes.
- Emerald, the closest to the classic green XP colour.
How to choose a style
- 1.Open the .mcpack file with Bedrock and it imports automatically. If import fails, the add-on install guide covers the manual route.
- 2.Go to Settings, then Global Resources, or your world's Resource Packs, and activate Animated XP Bars.
- 3.Click the gear icon on the pack and move the slider to pick one of the nine styles.
Known limitations
The scope is narrow. The pack centres on the XP bar, so pair it with another pack if you want wider HUD work such as Bedrock UI+. The pack is Bedrock only, and Java cannot load it. If it does not show up after import, see the fix for add-ons not working.
Questions about Animated XP Bars.
4 questions
How do I change the colour of Animated XP Bars?
Activate the pack in Global Resources or in your world's Resource Packs, then click the gear icon on it. A slider in the pack settings lets you pick one of nine styles, including RGB, Sakura, Ocean, Dark and Emerald. The remaining styles are Anemo, Aesthetic, Purple and Snowy.
Does Animated XP Bars work with shaders?
Yes. The creator lists shader compatibility as a feature. The pack also describes itself as lightweight and performance-friendly, so it should not add noticeable load alongside a shader.
Is Animated XP Bars available for Java?
No. Animated XP Bars is a Bedrock Edition resource pack distributed as an .mcpack file, and Java Edition uses a different format, so it cannot load this one. It is listed on CurseForge under Bedrock texture packs and is meant for Bedrock worlds.
Which releases does Animated XP Bars support?
The newest file, v1.11.0, covers Bedrock 1.21 to 26.50 and needs no other pack or library. It is a 16x pack in the Simplistic category on CurseForge.
