Streak-free connected glass window rendered by Clean Connected Glass in Minecraft Java

Clean Connected Glass is a Minecraft Java resource pack that gives glass blocks, glass panes, and tinted glass connected textures, so a wall of windows reads as one continuous surface instead of a grid of streaky borders. It covers Minecraft 1.16 through 26.2, and it does not add the connected-texture effect on its own: vanilla Minecraft ignores connected-texture data, so Continuity or OptiFine has to be installed first for the pack to render.

What changes in-game

  • All glass block variants
  • All glass pane variants
  • Tinted glass and tinted glass panes

Everything else in the game stays vanilla. The pack does not touch item textures, GUIs, mob models, or any block outside the glass family.

Installing Clean Connected Glass

  1. 1.Install a connected-texture renderer first: Continuity for Fabric or Quilt, or OptiFine for a standalone jar setup.
  2. 2.Download Clean Connected Glass from its Modrinth page and drop the file into the game's resourcepacks folder.
  3. 3.Open Options, then Resource Packs, and move Clean Connected Glass to the active side.
  4. 4.If using Continuity, also enable its built-in "Default Connected Textures" pack alongside Clean Connected Glass.

Fixing streaky glass panes on Continuity

Continuity users who still see visible seams between glass panes need to also enable Continuity's built-in "Glass Pane Culling Fix" resource pack, and keep it stacked above Clean Connected Glass in the resource pack list. OptiFine users do not need this extra step.

Supported Minecraft versions

The current build, version 0.0.2 published in June 2026, covers Minecraft 1.20 through 26.2 in a single download. Earlier per-version builds go back to 1.16.2. The pack has shipped only two version numbers since its 2023 release, which reflects how small and stable a pure connected-texture edit is, not a project that has stalled: aka_Jammy keeps bumping the supported range as new Minecraft versions ship.

Clean Connected Glass has no confirmed Bedrock Edition release. Bedrock's connected-glass packs are separate projects built around Bedrock's own texture system, so this pack does not carry over.

Questions about Clean Connected Glass.

5 questions

What does Clean Connected Glass do?

It gives glass blocks, glass panes, and tinted glass connected textures in Minecraft Java, so adjoining panes of glass merge into one clean surface instead of showing a grid of individual borders.

Does Clean Connected Glass need OptiFine or Continuity?

Yes. Clean Connected Glass only supplies the connected-texture data. Minecraft needs a renderer that understands it, either OptiFine or the Continuity mod for Fabric or Quilt, or the pack renders as normal vanilla glass.

Is Clean Connected Glass the same as the Connected Glass mod?

No. Clean Connected Glass is a texture-only resource pack by aka_Jammy that needs Continuity or OptiFine to work. Connected Glass is a separate, differently built project, a standalone mod that adds the connected-texture mechanic in code rather than through a resource pack.

Which Minecraft versions does Clean Connected Glass support?

The current build supports Minecraft 1.20 through 26.2. Earlier per-version downloads on the project's Modrinth page go back to Minecraft 1.16.2, so most Java versions from the last several years are covered.

Is Clean Connected Glass available for Bedrock Edition?

No. The project has no Bedrock release, and it is built for Java Edition's texture and resource pack system. Bedrock players looking for a similar effect need a separate, Bedrock-specific connected-glass pack.
