Human Era villagers is a simplistic 16x resource pack for Bedrock that replaces villagers and illagers with human characters. It also reshapes the wandering trader, iron golem and zombies. This is the Bedrock port of CmdrMCNuggets' Human Era series, now with Actions n Stuff, and Java players cannot load it.
Supported versions
- Minecraft 1.21.101 to 26.40.
What changes visually
The pack turns villagers into player models and keeps the vanilla style mixed with the author's own. The aim across the series is a more immersive, less cartoony feel.
- Villagers become humans, with 6 variants (cut from 70 because of ongoing issues).
- Iron golems get two variants, a soldier as the main front and a mecha in support. Colours are greywashed to read like medieval armour.
- Illagers become masked soldiers with armour and a backpack, and their helmets cover the face. The pack frames them as corrupted, assimilated humans.
- The wandering trader and zombies are redone in the same human style.
How to install it
- 1.Open the .mcpack file with Bedrock so it imports (double-click on Windows, open with the app on phones and tablets).
- 2.Create or edit a world and switch the pack on under Resource Packs in the world settings.
- 3.Load into the world and look at a village to confirm the human models appear.
New to add-ons? The guide to installing add-ons on Bedrock covers import on each device, and fixing add-ons that will not work helps if the pack never shows up.
Known limitations
The pack is Bedrock only, and the villager roster is far smaller than the original 70 variants. The unique illager robes, hats and colours only appear if you also run illager mods, so a plain setup shows the masked soldiers alone. Major credits go to CurseForge user leah_heal177. The project links no source repository, so there is no code to inspect.
Questions about Human Era: Villagers & Illagers X Actions n Stuff.
4 questions
How do I install Human Era villagers on Bedrock?
Open the .mcpack file with Bedrock so it imports. On Windows a double-click works, and on phones and tablets you open it with the app. Then switch the pack on under Resource Packs in a world's settings. Packs are enabled per world, so repeat that step for each world where you want the human villagers.
Is Human Era villagers available for Java?
This listing is Bedrock only, and Java cannot load Bedrock packs because the format differs. Java players need a pack made for Java. Files from this port do not transfer between the two, so look for a separate Java listing if that is your platform.
Which mobs does Human Era villagers change?
It replaces villagers with human player models and also changes the wandering trader, iron golem, illagers and zombies. Iron golems get a soldier and a mecha variant, while illagers become masked soldiers with armour and backpacks. Villagers come in 6 variants.
Why don't I see the different illager robes and hats?
The pack includes illager variety such as robes, hats and colours, but you need illager mods to see them. Without those mods, illagers show up as the masked, armoured soldiers with backpacks. Their helmets are designed to cover the face, and the pack frames them as corrupted, assimilated humans.
