Overgrown is a simplistic 16x texture pack for Bedrock that rebuilds the natural world: flowers, grasses, crops, leaves, and water plants. It adds new textures, models, and variants while holding onto the vanilla feel, which makes it a good overgrown texture pack for players who want richer nature without a new art style. It is a Bedrock-only pack.

Supported versions

  • Minecraft 1.21 to 26.50.

What changes visually

  • Detailed textures and variants for many blocks, plus every flower, grass, crop, and other piece of foliage.
  • Colourful leaves that change with the biome.
  • Improved models for lily pads, sugar cane, vines, mushrooms, saplings, leaves, seagrass, and dripstone.

The pack takes inspiration from Stay True and A Little Taste of Jerm, two Java packs, but uses none of their assets.

How to install Overgrown

The release is a single .mcaddon holding two packs, a Texture Pack and a Models Pack. Open the file with Bedrock to import both, then follow the add-on install guide to switch them on in your world's settings. The models are optional. Use only the Texture Pack if you do not want the reshaped plants.

Known limitations

The creator calls the pack a work in progress, so expect further updates and changing coverage. It focuses on nature, so mobs, items, and the interface are not its subject. The terms of use are strict. You may not alter the pack or republish it elsewhere, so get it from the CurseForge page.

Questions about Overgrown.

4 questions

Is Overgrown available for Java Edition?

No. Overgrown is a Bedrock-only pack, listed under CurseForge's Bedrock texture packs. Java uses a different pack format, so this file will not load there. Its creator names two Java packs, Stay True and A Little Taste of Jerm, as inspiration, but neither is part of it.

Do I need both packs in the Overgrown download?

Both are needed for every feature. The Texture Pack alone gives the new textures, and the Models Pack adds the reshaped plants. If you skip the improved models, use only the Texture Pack. When you use both, place the Models Pack on top.

Which versions does Overgrown support?

The newest release covers Bedrock 1.21 to 26.50 and requires no other pack or dependency. The download is a single .mcaddon holding a Texture Pack and a Models Pack, and the Texture Pack works alone if you skip the improved models.

Can I edit or repost Overgrown?

Not without permission. The terms of use allow personal use only, forbid modifying the pack or reusing its textures, and forbid publishing it on other websites. If you show it in a video or article, link to the CurseForge page.
