MakeUp Breezy is a cel-shaded, anime-style shader pack for Java that runs on Iris and OptiFine. It flattens vanilla lighting into two tones, draws black outlines from depth differences and turns clouds magenta at dawn and dusk. Install it only on the machine you play on.

What changes on screen
- Smooth lighting is replaced by luminance-based binary thresholding. Dark areas shift to purple and bright areas get a boosted blue tone.
- Black outlines are drawn from depth differences.
- Candle colours are quantized to 16 luma levels.
- Specular highlights from glossy materials are removed.
- Clouds turn magenta at dawn and dusk.
- Sky saturation and contrast are raised, especially at sunrise and sunset.
Origin and credits
This pack is a reworked take on MakeUp - Ultra Fast by javiergcim, starting from its 9.5a release. ENA_QWQ wrote the cel-shaded changes listed above and publishes the pack under the same licence as the original.
Installation
- 1.Install Iris 1.5.1 or newer, or OptiFine.
- 2.Place the pack's .zip file in the shaderpacks folder without unzipping it.
- 3.Open Video Settings > Shader Packs and select MakeUp Breezy.
The shader install guide walks through both loaders. Bedrock cannot run Iris or OptiFine, so this pack is Java only.

Does MakeUp Breezy work with Iris and OptiFine?
Yes. The pack ships builds for both loaders. The creator's notes ask for Iris 1.5.1 or newer, or OptiFine. It needs no other mod or library to run.
How is MakeUp Breezy different from MakeUp Ultra Fast?
It starts from Ultra Fast 9.5a and restyles it. Smooth lighting becomes a two-tone threshold, black outlines appear, specular highlights are removed, and sunrise and sunset skies become more saturated with magenta clouds.
Can I use MakeUp Breezy on Bedrock?
No. It is a Java shader pack and depends on Iris or OptiFine, which only run on Java. Bedrock uses a different format for visual packs, so this pack will not load there.
