Vintage Shader is a lightweight vintage shader for Minecraft Java that strips away the clean look of modern graphics. It replaces it with the imperfections of 90s hardware, cathode-ray tube screens and analog signal interference. It runs on Iris and OptiFine, and it is Java only, since Bedrock cannot run either loader.

Effects and settings
The pack is a set of adjustable screen effects rather than a realism overhaul. You decide how far the picture drifts from the original, from a crunchy 8-bit world to a found-footage VHS look.
- Color quantization limits the palette for the posterized look of 8-bit and 16-bit consoles.
- Chromatic aberration and color offsets simulate lens distortion and misaligned RGB signals.
- Blur and saturation sliders soften the image and give it a warm, retro tone.
The look is deliberately degraded.
Performance
The pack is described as extremely lightweight and aimed at integrated graphics, older laptops and low-end PCs. It needs a GPU that supports OpenGL 3.0 and GLSL 1.30 or higher, which covers older Intel HD Graphics, AMD integrated chips and legacy Nvidia cards.
