Blurry's Java PvP is a Bedrock addon by BlurryFACE that recreates Java combat inside Bedrock. It adds timed hits, cooldowns, improved knockback and quality-of-life changes, so fights feel sharper and more skill-based. It is Bedrock only and needs neither experimental features nor a player.json change.

Supported versions

  • Minecraft 1.21.130 to 26.10.

What it changes

  • Attack indicator shows when your next fully charged hit is ready, and sprint hits give Java-like knockback.
  • Sweeping Edge lets swords sweep and hit several nearby entities.
  • Right-click shield raises it instantly without crouching (right mouse button, left trigger on controller, interact button on mobile).
  • Java saturation makes food heal more and faster, with a built-in bar showing what you have left.
  • Offhand food: double crouch puts food in the offhand, and the shield input eats it.
  • Attribute swapping keeps a spear's attributes when you switch to another hotbar slot fast enough.
  • Smaller fixes: doors create air pockets, TNT minecarts explode instantly, and water clears cobwebs.

Configuration

Two commands control the addon. /admin_config opens the world config for world-wide features, and /config opens a personal config for settings that affect only you.

How to install Blurry's Java PvP

The newest file is a single .mcaddon. If you have not imported an addon before, the install guide for Bedrock addons covers each platform.

  1. 1.Open the .mcaddon file with Bedrock so it imports.
  2. 2.Create or edit a world and switch on the addon's behavior pack and resource pack.
  3. 3.Load the world and use /config to adjust your personal settings.

4 questions

How do I install Blurry's Java PvP on Bedrock?

Open the .mcaddon file with Bedrock so it imports, then enable its behavior pack and resource pack in the settings of the world you want to play. Windows users can also place the pack folders under the com.mojang folder, in behavior_packs and resource_packs.

Does Blurry's Java PvP need experimental toggles?

No. The addon lists no experimental features as a requirement, and it does not need a player.json change either. You only need to activate its packs on the world, then use /config for personal options.

What happens if I remove Blurry's Java PvP from a world?

Removing the addon deletes all of its weapons from that world. Test it on a backup or a separate world first, and only add it to a main world once you are happy to keep it.

Which controls raise the shield in Blurry's Java PvP?

The shield goes up instantly without crouching. On mouse and keyboard it is the right mouse button, on a controller the left trigger, and on mobile the interact button. Double crouch puts food in your offhand.
