Not Enough Golems is a golems addon for Bedrock that adds 14 new golem types, each themed on a material. The golems spawn naturally in villages, and you can also summon them with golem structures. It ships as a single .mcaddon file from euforia_con_r and applies to Bedrock only, so Java players cannot load it.

Supported versions

  • Minecraft 1.21.30 to 26.50.

What it adds

The roster covers emerald, gold, redstone, lapis, diamond, netherite, glass, hay, bedrock, oak, TNT, cobblestone, mossy cobblestone and coal golems. Most are plain additions to the village population, so you meet them while exploring rather than through a crafting menu.

One upgrade path is documented. Interact with a diamond golem while holding a netherite block in your main hand and it becomes a netherite golem. The rest of the roster comes from natural spawns and the summoning structures.

Installation

  1. 1.Open the .mcaddon file with Bedrock so it imports (double-click on Windows, open with Minecraft on phones and tablets). The install guide covers each platform.
  2. 2.Create a new world, or edit an existing one, and add the addon's behavior pack and resource pack under the world settings.
  3. 3.Turn on the Beta API in the experimental options before you load the world.
  4. 4.Enter the world and look for the new golems in villages.

If it does not work

  • Confirm the experimental option was active when the world was created.
  • Delete earlier files of the addon so only the latest remains.
  • Stay on the latest stable Bedrock release, not a beta or preview. The troubleshooting guide lists further checks.

The trade-off is the experimental requirement. Worlds created with the Beta API on carry that setting, which matters if you share the world or prefer to avoid experimental toggles. The creator's page also gives no word on Realms or dedicated hosting, so test those setups yourself before relying on them.

Questions about Not Enough Golems.

4 questions

How do I install Not Enough Golems on Bedrock?

Open the .mcaddon file with Bedrock so it imports automatically. Then create or edit a world, activate the addon's behavior pack and resource pack in the world settings, and turn on the Beta API under experimental options. After loading the world, the new golems appear in villages.

Does Not Enough Golems need experimental toggles?

Yes. The creator asks players to activate the Beta API in the experimental options, and to do it when the world is created. If the golems do not show up, this is the first setting to check before anything else.

Where do the golems from Not Enough Golems spawn?

All golems in the addon can spawn naturally in villages. You can also summon them using golem structures. The addon adds 14 types in total, including emerald, gold, redstone, lapis, diamond, netherite, glass, hay, oak, TNT, coal and cobblestone variants.

How do I get the netherite golem?

Find a diamond golem and interact with it while holding a netherite block in your main hand. The diamond golem turns into a netherite golem. This is the only conversion the addon documents, so the other golems come from natural spawns or structures.
