The Piggyback addon by Daniye lets you carry other players on your back in Minecraft Bedrock. It ships as a .mcaddon file and is built for multiplayer, roleplay and playing around with friends. It needs no experimental options.
Supported versions
- Minecraft 1.21.122 to 1.21.130.
What it adds
One mechanic, done simply. Point at another player and ride them, then jump whenever you want to get off.
- On PC, right-click a player to climb onto their back. On mobile, tap Ride.
- Jump to dismount at any time.
- Achievements stay enabled, so worlds using the add-on keep progress.
How to install Piggyback
Open the .mcaddon file with Minecraft and it imports itself (double-click on Windows, open with Minecraft on phones and tablets). Then switch the add-on's packs on in the world settings. If you have never done this, the add-on install guide walks through each step.
- 1.Download Piggyback v1.0.6 from the CurseForge page.
- 2.Open the .mcaddon file so Minecraft imports it.
- 3.Create a world or edit an existing one.
- 4.Activate the add-on's packs under Behavior Packs and Resource Packs.
- 5.Load in, point at a friend and ride.
Trade-offs
The feature set is deliberately narrow: carrying players and nothing else. Its player.json conflict also means it may not sit alongside other add-ons that change the player. In return there is nothing to configure, and no experimental toggles to enable.
Questions about Piggyback Addon.
4 questions
How do I get off someone's back with the Piggyback addon?
Jump. The rider can dismount at any time by jumping, so nobody gets stuck. To get on, point at another player and right-click on PC or tap Ride on mobile.
Does the Piggyback addon need experimental toggles?
No. The add-on does not require experimental options, so you can import the .mcaddon file, switch its packs on for a world, and play.
Can I use Piggyback with other add-ons?
Do not mix it with packs that use a player.json file, because that overlap causes errors.
How do I install the Piggyback addon on Bedrock?
Download the .mcaddon file and open it with Minecraft, which imports it automatically. Then create or edit a world and activate the add-on's packs in the world settings. After that, load in and ride another player by pointing at them.
