Xaier's Apocalyptic Cities is an apocalyptic cities addon for Bedrock that adds cities generated with jigsaw blocks, so the buildings and houses differ from place to place. It is a larger take on the cities from the Cordyceps Addon and is meant to sit beside other apocalypse addons. It runs on Bedrock only and has no Java counterpart.
Supported versions
- Minecraft 1.21.124 to 26.20.
What it adds
Each city has a main highway that branches into streets, and the streets generate the buildings. Houses and lower structures appear along the street edges near sewer entrances. Beneath the cities, sewers and tunnels lead to caves holding gunpowder ore, which helps with addons that need it as ammunition. An oil refinery also generates in the oceans, and you can live there if you like.
- Cities in plains, birch forest, forest, desert, savanna and ice plains biomes
- Two NPCs, survivors and hunters
- Environmental blocks such as the jelly bush, which play city sounds day and night and release mosquito and butterfly particles
- Gas cylinders and barrels that explode when right-clicked with flint and steel
Loot, radios and details
Blocks yield loot when touched and can be mined with pickaxes. The blocks and melee weapons match those in the Cordyceps Addon, included for looks and as loot that mixes well with other addons. The weapons also work as axes and pickaxes. Radios stand inside structures. Right-click one to switch it on, then crouch with an empty hand and right-click to change station. A separate radio music pack adds more tracks. In Creative mode, right-click decorative blocks with a stick to cycle their texture variations, which helps when making maps.
Installation
- 1.Open the file from the CurseForge page with Bedrock so it imports.
- 2.Switch the pack on in the world's settings under Behavior Packs and Resource Packs.
- 3.Travel to one of the listed biomes and look for the highway.

Questions about Xaier's Apocalyptic Cities.
4 questions
Which biomes do the cities generate in?
Cities generate in plains, birch forest, forest, desert, savanna and ice plains biomes. Each city centres on a main highway that branches into streets, and the buildings along them are randomised through jigsaw blocks. Houses and lower structures sit near the sewer entrances at the street edges. An oil refinery separately generates in the oceans.
Where can I find gunpowder ore in this addon?
Gunpowder ore sits in caves reached through the sewers and tunnels beneath the cities. Sewer entrances appear along the street edges, near the houses and lower structures. The creator added the ore for addons that need gunpowder as ammunition, so it pairs well with weapon addons.
How do the radios work?
Functional radios are placed inside structures. Right-click a radio to turn it on. To change the station, crouch with an empty hand and right-click it. The creator offers a separate radio music pack for anyone who wants more music on the radios.
Can I change the texture of decorative blocks?
Yes, in Creative mode. Right-click a decorative block with a stick to cycle through its texture variations. Only some decorative blocks have variations. The creator notes this is useful for creating maps.
