Incendium is a data pack that completely overhauls the Nether, adding 8 new biomes, large structures to explore, custom mobs to fight, and unique weapons to find. It uses only vanilla blocks and textures, so no companion resource pack is needed. The current release supports Minecraft Java Edition 1.21.11 and is distributed both as a plain data pack and as a mod for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge, and Quilt.

What Incendium Changes in the Nether

The pack adds 8 distinct Nether biomes, each with unique terrain, atmosphere, and inhabitants. Notable biomes include the Quartz Flats, Withered Forest, Infernal Dunes, Ash Barrens, and Toxic Heap. Each zone has its own structures, enemy types, and loot, which rewards thorough exploration.

How to Install Incendium

Incendium can be installed as a data pack dropped directly into a world folder, or as a mod when running Fabric, Forge, NeoForge, or Quilt. Both versions are available on the Modrinth project page.

  1. 1.Download the data pack .zip or mod .jar from the Modrinth project page.
  2. 2.Data pack: open the target world folder, place the .zip inside the datapacks/ subfolder, then run /reload in-game.
  3. 3.Dedicated server: place the .zip in world/datapacks/ before starting the server, or run /reload after adding it.
  4. 4.Mod loader (Fabric, Forge, NeoForge, Quilt): use the mod .jar version and add it to the mods/ folder like any other mod.

Multiplayer and Server Use

Incendium is server-side only. Players connecting to a server or LAN host with Incendium installed do not need to install anything on their own client. The data pack or mod only needs to be present on the host, making it straightforward to add to existing multiplayer worlds and Realms.

  • Does Incendium need a resource pack?

    No. Incendium builds all its biomes and structures using standard vanilla Minecraft blocks, so no companion resource pack is required. It is compatible with any resource pack you already use.

  • Does Incendium work on multiplayer servers?

    Yes. Incendium is installed on the server side only. Players do not need any client-side installation to join a server running it. It works on dedicated servers, LAN hosts, and Realms as long as the server owner installs the pack.
