Nomifactory CEu is a fork of the original Nomifactory, rebuilt around GregTech CEu and its actively developed related mods. It is a tech-and-quests modpack for Minecraft Java on Forge, aimed at players who want a long, guided industrial progression. Packaged on CurseForge by tracer4b.
Loaders and versions
- Forge: Minecraft 1.12.2.
What changes from the original
- Circuit progression is overhauled and follows CEu stock closely.
- Nearly all machines have multiblock versions, including the EBF, Freezer and DT, processing up to 256 recipes in parallel.
- New processing chains cover Naquadah, Advanced SMDs, Crystal Chips and more.
- Assembly Line Research, the Cleanroom and other features are ported and improved from GT5.
- Emissive effects on machines, coil blocks and the Fusion Reactor are built to stay light on performance.
- Quality-of-life fixes include a Wiremill that makes any wire, a Creative Tank that no longer uses fluids, and ore stone types that no longer clog the inventory. The infinite Amp bug is fixed.
The questbook is updated for all of this and adds a Processing Lines tab with tips and visual layouts of both new and old chains. Translations ship separately as a language pack.
Expert mode and addons
Expert mode suits players who want a harder, more traditional GregTech run. It is based on the Self-Torture Edition fork. It forces peaceful mode, removes DME for easy infinite resources, makes Nomicoins unobtainable and unspendable, adds a Steam Age, and replaces the Creative Tank with Stabilized Micro Miners for late-game infinite resources. Switch modes with the pack-mode-switcher script, run from the pack root beside the config folder.
Addon scripts adjust recipes for AE2 Fluid Crafting Rework, Compact Machines, Flux Networks, Lazy AE2, Project Red - Illumination and ZBGT. Drop those mods into the mods folder. If you add them through the CurseForge app, remove the extra copy of non-extended-life AE2 it may download.
Installing and servers
The pack runs on Forge, which you can set up as covered in our Forge install guide. The pack's wiki recommends install methods and documents basic server setup and server updates.
