SpeedrunPack is a Fabric speedrun modpack that gathers the mods verifiable on speedrun.com for modern Minecraft. It is published on Modrinth by interp, and Modrinth marks both the client and server sides as optional. It suits runners who want a timer, fast world resetting and performance tweaks installed in a single import.

Loaders and versions

  • Fabric: Minecraft 1.14.4 to 26.2.

What's included

  • SpeedrunIGT, a customizable timer with speedrun category support.
  • SeedQueue, which generates many worlds at once with a built-in wall screen on a single instance.
  • WorldPreview, which shows a world while it is still generating so you can reset early.
  • Atum, which creates a new world when you leave one and adds a keybind for an instant reset.
  • MCSR Fairplay, which provides verification and anti-cheat functionality.
  • Many performance mods for higher FPS and faster world generation.

How to install SpeedrunPack

  1. 1.Import the pack through a launcher that reads Modrinth packs. In the Modrinth App, browse, search SpeedrunPack and click Install. In Prism Launcher or MultiMC, use Add Instance, then Modrinth. In ATLauncher, open Packs, then Modrinth.
  2. 2.Optionally pick a specific pack release from the Versions tab or the dropdown before installing.
  3. 3.Open the instance's Java settings and select Java 17 or greater. The pack does not run on older Java.

Which Minecraft release to choose

If you are unsure, pick 1.16.1. It is the most popular release for speedrunning, the fastest, and leans far less on RNG, so it gets the most support from speedrun mods, resources and guides. 1.15.2 stays popular as the last release before the Nether Update, and its route is very different. Newer releases bring piglin brutes in bastions, worse ender pearl rates from piglins and world generation that makes reaching the Nether harder. SeedQueue setup is documented for 1.16.1 and 1.15.2 only.

The pack's own page says it is unofficial and may lag behind, so check mc.sr/mods for the legal mod list before a verified run.

How do I install SpeedrunPack?

Import it through the Modrinth App, Prism Launcher, MultiMC or ATLauncher by searching for SpeedrunPack and installing it as an instance. The launcher fetches the mods and Fabric for you. Afterwards, set the instance to use Java 17 or greater, because the pack requires it.

Which Minecraft release should I pick for speedrunning with this pack?

1.16.1 is the safe choice. It is the most popular release for speedrunning, the fastest, and depends less on RNG than newer ones. It also gets the most support from speedrun mods and guides. 1.15.2 is the other common pick, as the last release before the Nether Update.

Why do my settings keep resetting in SpeedrunPack?

The bundled StandardSettings mod restores a preset every time you load a new world. Open Mod Configs, select StandardSettings, then turn Use StandardSettings off or enter the settings you want it to apply.
