Zombie Invade 100 Days is a Forge modpack for Minecraft Java that rebuilds the zombie apocalypse survival challenge popularized by the Forge Labs "100 Days" videos, using a fresh mod list on a newer Minecraft version. It runs on Minecraft 1.20.1, needs the pack installed on both client and server, and gives players three ways to start a world before throwing them into a hundred days of escalating zombie pressure.

What's included

The pack layers survival-horror systems on top of vanilla Forge rather than adding a questline. Builds from version 2.2 onward run their zombie evolution through End of Days as the core mod, replacing Zombie Game, which powered version 2.1 and earlier.

  • Restyled zombie textures from Tissou's Zombie Pack
  • A downed-and-rescue mechanic from Hardcore Revival instead of an instant death
  • Screen effects for injury and low health from EnhancedVisuals
  • Dismemberment and blood effects on mob death from Physics Mod
  • Mob health bars from Neat and floating damage numbers from TslatEntityStatus
  • Spawner auto-destruction from Ageing Spawners, so cleared spawners stop respawning threats
  • Dynamic footsteps and sound physics, chain mining, and Spartan Weaponry and Shields for combat variety

Starting a world

Version 2.3 offers three world options at creation: a preset flat overworld, a manually configured superflat world, or a normal generated world. Lost Cities structures generate in the overworld by default on a normal world, giving players a ready-made ruined city to fortify or loot early. After spawning, an in-game guide book walks new players through the pack's systems instead of leaving them to figure it out from the changelog.

Server pack and multiplayer

A dedicated server pack has shipped separately from the client download since version 1.2. It sits on each version's own page in the Versions tab, marked as a server file, rather than being the same download used for the client. Windows hosts run the included startserver.bat once to install; other systems run the bundled Forge installer jar directly, then use the generated start script.

Version and loader support

Zombie Invade 100 Days is Forge only, with no Fabric or NeoForge build. The current release, v2.3-Fix, published 13 December 2025, targets Minecraft 1.20.1. Earlier builds also cover 1.19.2, so a 1.19.2 world is not forward-compatible with the 1.20.1 line without starting fresh. The project's changelog and community discussion run through a Chinese-language wiki rather than an English forum, which is worth knowing before you go looking for troubleshooting help in English.

Frequently asked questions

Questions about Zombie Invade 100 Days.

5 questions

What is Zombie Invade 100 Days based on?

It is a fan-made recreation of the zombie apocalypse survival challenge that Forge Labs popularized in a 2021 hardcore Minecraft video, rebuilt as a playable Forge modpack with a new mod list on a current Minecraft version. It is not made or endorsed by Forge Labs.

Which Minecraft version does Zombie Invade 100 Days support?

Forge only. The current release, v2.3-Fix from December 2025, targets Minecraft 1.20.1. Earlier builds also cover 1.19.2, but there is no Fabric or NeoForge version and no build past 1.20.1.

Does Zombie Invade 100 Days have a dedicated server pack?

Yes. A server-only download has been available since version 1.2, listed separately on each version's page in the Versions tab. Use that file rather than the client download, since the client pack includes mods that are not built to run on a dedicated server.

How do I start a world in Zombie Invade 100 Days?

Version 2.3 lets you pick a flat overworld, a superflat world, or a normal generated world when creating your save. A normal world also generates Lost Cities structures by default, giving you ruins to fortify. An in-game guide book explains the pack's systems once you spawn.

Is Zombie Invade 100 Days safe to download?

Modrinth marks the pack all rights reserved with no published license text and no source repository, so there is no independent way to verify redistribution terms. Download it only from the official Modrinth project page rather than a third-party mirror.
