Bridging Mod is a reach-around placement mod for Fabric, NeoForge and Quilt. It lets you place blocks into gaps in front of, above or below existing blocks, even when the face you need is not visible. It runs on the player's side only, so nothing has to be installed on a multiplayer host. Forge files exist, but they have stopped.

What it changes
Out of the box the assist works on every axis. A small crosshair points to the block you are building off, and the F3 screen adds an outline of the exact landing spot. It sits closer to Bedrock's reach-around than to Quark's, more lenient and with added vertical placement. The crosshair supports Dynamic Crosshair.

Configuration
Four tabs cover nearly everything. Main handles placement delay and horizontal locking, Visuals handles outlines and the crosshair, Fixes holds smoothing tweaks you can switch off if placement misbehaves, and Debug is mostly visual aids. A keybind toggles bridging without opening the config.
Installing it
Pick the file that matches your loader and Minecraft release. Drop it into the mods folder with the libraries it requires, then launch with that loader's profile. The mod installation guide covers the steps.
Questions about Bridging Mod.

Does Bridging Mod work on Hypixel?
No. The creator states it does not work on Hypixel and will not be fixed. The mod is meant for singleplayer or small multiplayer worlds where every player agrees to it. On big networks that forbid such modifications, using it can get you banned.
Is Bridging Mod the same as Bedrock bridging?
It is similar, but not identical. The mod is closer to Bedrock's reach-around than to Quark's, and it adds placement above and below blocks. Releases before 2.0.0 were a Fabric port of Quark's reach-around feature, and later releases were rewritten from scratch.
Does Bridging Mod work with Forge?
Forge files exist but stopped in October 2024. For current Minecraft releases, use the NeoForge, Fabric or Quilt files instead. Each file only runs on the loader it was made for.
