Farmer's Knives

An add-on that gives Farmer's Delight a matching knife for the metals and gems of dozens of other mods. It extends the kitchen tool set rather than adding a new system.

Farmer's Knives is a Java mod for Fabric and NeoForge that adds knives to Farmer's Delight for materials from other mods. If your pack already has extra metals and gems, each one gets a matching kitchen knife instead of the vanilla set alone. It has to be installed on both sides, for players and on any multiplayer host.

What it adds

Every supported material gets a knife that slots into Farmer's Delight. The list is long. Mythic Metals alone covers more than twenty metals, from Adamantite to Stormyx. Botania contributes Manasteel, Elementium and Terrasteel, and Create Stuff and Additions adds brass and zinc.

  • Worldgen and dimension mods, including BetterEnd, BetterNether, Deeper and Darker (Warden) and Oh The Biomes You'll Go (Pendorite).
  • Armour and tool mods such as Advanced Netherite, Enderite, Gobber, Dragon Loot and Easy Emerald Tools & More.
  • Twilight Forest materials: Ironwood, Fiery, Steeleaf and Knightmetal.
  • Copper knives for Copper Age Backport, Vanilla Backport and Progression Reborn.

The Mythic Metals knife textures were made by The Skeleton Appears. The author takes suggestions for further materials on the Modrinth page.

Questions about Farmer's Knives.

3 questions

Does Farmer's Knives work on multiplayer servers?

Yes, but it is required on both sides. Players and the multiplayer host each need the mod and its required libraries, and the host must also carry the mods whose materials you want knives for. A player missing it will not match the host's setup.

Do I need Farmer's Delight to use Farmer's Knives?

In practice, yes. The mod exists to add knives to Farmer's Delight, and its newest builds list a Farmer's Delight variant as a required dependency. Use the Refabricated port on Fabric and the regular mod on NeoForge.

Which mods get knives from Farmer's Knives?

The supported list includes Botania, Twilight Forest, Mythic Metals, BetterEnd, BetterNether, Deeper and Darker, Create Stuff and Additions, Gobber, Enderite and several backport and netherite mods. The full list sits on the Modrinth page.
