Fruits Delight is a food mod for NeoForge and Forge that extends Farmer's Delight with 17 fruits, 90 fruit-based dishes and 14 naturally generated fruit trees. It must be installed on both sides, so a multiplayer host and every player need it.

Loaders and versions

What it adds

The fruit list runs from peach, mango and lychee to kiwi, fig and durian. Dishes cover drinks, snacks, meals and feasts, and a unique cauldron mixing recipe produces jam and jello. In total 18 plants generate in the world: 14 fruit trees (13 from the mod plus an apple tree) and four single-block plants.

Food effects

Raw fruit carries no effect. Only processed food such as jelly, juice and snacks does, with 17 effects in all. A few examples follow.

  • Peach gives Healing Aura, an instant heal for entities around you.
  • Persimmon lets you walk on ice and other slippery blocks as if they were regular ones.
  • Kiwi spits out a level of experience as orbs, enough to repair mending gear without other sources.
  • Cranberry lets you crawl into one-block-high holes while sneaking.
  • Mango gives Strength III, but its Rage Aura turns nearby mobs hostile to you.
  • Durian weakens surrounding mobs, stops animals from breeding nearby and makes suspicious sand and gravel easier to find.

Where the trees grow

Pear trees sit in birch forests, hawberry in taiga, lychee and mango in jungle, lemon in plains, hamimelon in desert and pineapple on beaches. Durian is rare, turning up in swamp and jungle biomes. Support for Biomes O' Plenty and Terralith spreads fruit trees into more biomes.

Installation and trade-offs

  1. 1.Install NeoForge or Forge that matches your world's game release.
  2. 2.Put the Fruits Delight file and its required library, Farmer's Delight, in the mods folder.
  3. 3.Launch with the loader's profile, on the host and on every player's side.

The trade-off is the dependency chain. Farmer's Delight is mandatory, and the extras (Create for automating jam and jello, Serene Seasons for seasonal growth, Botany Pots for automatic fruit production) are optional but shape how you farm.

Questions about Fruits Delight.

3 questions

Does Fruits Delight need Farmer's Delight?

Yes. Farmer's Delight is a required dependency on both NeoForge and Forge, so the mod will not load without it. Create, Serene Seasons, Botany Pots, Diet, Cuisine Delight, Biomes O' Plenty and Terralith are optional compatibility additions.

Does Fruits Delight work in multiplayer?

It works, but it is required on both sides. The host and every connecting player must have the mod installed, along with Farmer's Delight, using a matching loader and release.

Where can I find durian in Fruits Delight?

Durian trees are rare. They can be found in swamp, mangrove swamp, jungle, bamboo jungle and sparse jungle biomes. Its food has a notable effect: it weakens nearby mobs and helps locate suspicious sand and gravel.
