Macaw's Paths and Pavings is a decoration mod for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge from sketchmacaw. It adds wooden paths in every wood variation plus a set of paving blocks, all in a vanilla style.
Loaders and versions
- Fabric: Minecraft 1.18.2 to 26.3. The newest build needs no dependencies; some builds for 1.18.2 to 26.2 require Fabric API.
- Forge: Minecraft 1.16.5 to 26.3. The newest build needs no dependencies.
- NeoForge: Minecraft 1.20.4 to 26.3. The newest build needs no dependencies.
What it adds
- Wooden paths in all wooden variations.
- Six pavings with 11 texture variations in the first release.
- Running Bond paths, with matching slabs and blocks, added in 1.0.3 because they also work for building.
Other mods in the same series, such as Macaw's Fences and Walls and Macaw's Bridges, pair naturally with it if you want more building pieces from sketchmacaw.
Installation
- 1.Install Fabric, Forge or NeoForge for the release you play, following the Fabric guide or the Forge and NeoForge guide.
- 2.Put the mod's .jar file in the mods folder inside .minecraft, along with any dependency the listing above names for your loader.
- 3.Launch with the loader's profile.
- 4.On multiplayer, the host adds the same mod to the mods folder.

How do I craft the paths and pavings?
The creators' own FAQ answers this with crafting recipes for the paths and pavings, which this page does not reproduce. What you are crafting covers wooden paths in every wooden variation, six pavings with 11 texture variations, and Running Bond paths with matching slabs and blocks. Questions and suggestions go to the Macaw's discord.
Can I use Macaw's Paths and Pavings in a modpack?
Yes. sketchmacaw allows modpack use as long as you credit the team and include a reference to the Modrinth page. The mod is MIT licensed in its repository, so the licence file is also worth reading before you publish a pack that includes it.
Will Macaw's Paths and Pavings be backported to 1.15.2 or older?
Very unlikely. The creators say a last 1.12.2 release could happen at some point, but nothing is promised. Forge releases currently reach back to 1.16.5, and Fabric and NeoForge start later, so older worlds on those loaders are not covered.
Does Macaw's Paths and Pavings work on multiplayer?
Yes, but it is required on both sides.
